Sup guys, im new here and i just got a 04 srt10, i add a Volant cold air intake but at soon as went i went to the street i noticed that i lost power, torque and the gas pedal is stiff
After 3.5k rpm's the pedal get hard to push it
And in the freeway it doesn't let me go more that 100 mph
I decide to put the stock airbox back, but is the same thing
I already try to change the air temperature sensor but u did not saw a difference
Any one has any idea what i can do
Thanks...

I didn't touch the throttle cable, but i did check and everything looks ok

Remove your air-tube going into the throttle body and take a video of your throttle blades (with your phone?) to make sure when you put your gas pedal to the floor, the throttle blades are wide open.

The first 2 pics obviously i did it by hand, but when i try to hit the pedal it was so hard and it doesn't let me go all the way
The TB just barely opened the blades but just a little bit
I opened the switch with the engine being off to see if their was a difference but same thing, the pedal was still really stiff it won't even let me step on it half way down

Make sure your throttle cable goes straight out, runs ON TOP OF THE CURVED PORTION OF THE THROTTLE and then down to the anchor-point. It can't go a downward angle (like it probably is now), avoiding the curved portion on top.

When you fix it, you can email VOLANT and tell them you picked up over 100 horsepower after installing their cold air intake.

A bro thanks for the help really helpfully gonna reinstall the intake ones again !!!!

Yeap it was just that, the cable it wasn't in the right position
I already put the intake back, and not to much difference but i like it
Again thanks bro...

Isn't it nice to find a simple solution to a nightmare.
Good stuff Ed

My Volant CAI has a large hole to the inner guard and about a 4" square hole through to the grill. That fancy snorkel is not needed and stops the cold air in/ hot air out of the engine bay as it was designed to do. My advice is to remove it and cap it. I have done this to mine today. Definitely happier in traffic on hot days. Not as doughy and engine temp cooler. Truck does not smell hot.
