MOPAR Stainless Headers

Interesting.. I have a pair too and when I tap them.. they seem to feel like Mg and not AL.

Plus, is AL such a bear to strip and powder coat? I have heard and seen these almost wash away with a light sand blasting.
AMS3 are you going to strip and re-paint or PC?

AL they must be then.. huh. thanks Ronnie and AMS3
There's a local place here in Savannah that will strip them down and PC. Gonna have them almost Candy Apple Red.

I think y'all come over for some Vegemite on toast now y'hear.:)
That's what I just had. Keeps that Covid thing away too hahaha
It started in UK they have Marmite and Vegemite and there will be some other variations as well.
I am surprised it is not in Canada. It is very good for you. A good winter top up of essentials
Meh, thanks for the offer Kiwi, but I think I'll pass :)

Cool! keep us in the loop with any in process pics.. are they going to media blast them or chemically strip them..

Candy apple red covers with white headers should look very sharp.
Optional blue intake for a patriotic theme (?).
Yes, PICS PICS!!

I was originally thinking of going with Classic Polish look, but now that you mention it, White might look better. Problem is, Jet Hot only has two flavors of white.

I think you mentioned about the white headers in your post a week or so ago. ;)

Regardless of what colors or shine you are shown, coatings often change with heat anyway, in spite of what you may be told.

My shiny silver ceramic header coating is now a very flat silver coating after several hot and cold cycles. As a heat barrier, nothing has changed in that regard, which is most important to me.

That off-white color in your post may turn to a VERY off-white color after a while, I can't really say.

The only way to stop discolouration is to not start it up.
Mine are silver, still look good, but who knows what colour they started off as lol not so sure about black hahaha

Yeah, I'm thinking the same. I may have mentioned white a while back, but I've drank Wild Turkey 101 since then :)

Just keep off the Wild Wood Weed you may just fly right over there and get something you don't really want lol:D

On a serious note, I thought Stainless steel work hardens and cracks.
Is this an issue?
The headers are 304 stainless, but what you're looking at is a polish ceramic coating, not the actual metal. I wouldn't think it would crack over time.
