Engine had a bloody hiccup

Hey Kiwi, how's them there knees doing these days? Run any marathons yet?
Getting there.
Doing well, back at work. The knees get a real work out getting in and out of the truck all day. Only minor swelling now and Ibuprofen fixes that. So I have officially joined the gang of 'Sons of Ibuprofen' :D:D:D
Took truck to work today and smoked a Hardly Ableson on the way home. Yeehaa!!

I know, I feel a bit like a bully. Na it was fun. When I got to 120mph his headlight was just so small in the rear view mirror

I just ordered a new serpentine belt 1" smaller for when I get my U/D Pulley.
A 190 Deg Thermostat as my engine is running too cold, and a new IAC as that idle has slowly got worse over the last 12 months. Very slow to drop revs after a shoe full and eventually drops in steps. Thanks Rockauto

So I saw my first TRX on Friday, man those things are sweet. I pulled up next to him on the road and honked at him. He throttled down and so did I. We were neck and next until the next light. I want one of those things.

Kiwi, can you spot me around 100K USD so I can get one? I'll pay you back $100 a week until paid off...;):)

True! I have taken my truck to the Dodge dealership on several occasions only to find out that they didn’t have a mechanic that knew the difference between my engine and a regular engine (or at least how to work on a V-10). Needless to say, the maintenance has been less than desirable. A simple spark plug change a few months ago left me with a check engine light and a P035, P038 code. My truck has been in the shop for over a month (July 13) and I haven’t been able to get the maintenance supervisor to do a diagnostic on it yet!!! He tells me that I need a new engine and that my engine has no oil pressure, but I don’t think he’s being genuine. I think he is trying to get me to go the new engine route so that he can get my old engine because he knows that it would be a huge job to replace the engine and he could make a nice profit on getting my old one. It has been an epic challenge to find a good, honest mechanic…
That is insane, we should have great members in the great state of Tx to help you out. F#$% the dealer. In the past, some not all Chrysler dodge dealers has a master tech trained specifically to work on Vipers at least my dodge dealer has a master tech. Call around and find out.

The more I think about it, If they have changed the plugs and now it is throwing a plug fault I would be checking for a broken plug or a broken cable end

I have NOT forgotten about your U/D Pulley.

The guy that has it, is as hard to get a hold of as those that owe me money. o_O

I will keep at it and (one day), a shiny new pulley will arrive at your residence; you will install it, your truck will do a 2-foot wheelie and life will be good.

Don't forget to give me your bank details, or I could buy you something you need from Rockauto or the like, to the same value. You haven't even told me how much you want

It does not feature in my retirement plans....unfortunately. Gas is already going up to new levels. Gone up 10c a litre in 2 weeks, all carbon tax. I expect another 30c early next year as the next round of carbon tax is added. Then the Greens are pushing for another 30c a litre next year to purely try and persuade people to buy electric cars. 3.78 litres equals 1 US gal. $2.57/litre today. That is the cheapest and I am lucky it is 100+ RON octane...maybe 95 for you. So $257 a tank full. I can't do that on a pension. Still 5 years away but maybe I should take advantage of the crazy money while it lasts??? I don't know but I think I should be prepared. So some little touch ups, a Dyno run, etc and we shall watch and see. Pedal pads next. Plastic body kit on drivers door is coming loose. Nothing serious. In these uncertain times I have to be prepared. Never say never. I love my truck but if push comes to shove it may have to go sometime in the future.

Buy me a beer next time you're in Calgary Alberta Canada and we'll call 'er good.
