JTSVP PS Lines Leaking?

Sorry I'm opening this topic up again but I'm guessing you sale this stewing line or fitting needed for the hydraulic fan steering line?

Sorry to open this thread up again but my ps fitting by fan just crapped out. You sale this fitting or a much better option before goby through dealer?

Just roll the price of shipping into the price of the item and offer "free shipping". ;)

I still like my JTS PS lines, Oil cooler lines, shifter (both of them), plug wires, etc. and the customer service was always first rate.

Limited production vehicle supported by small independent shops. I am grateful that a few vendors take the time and make the investment so that we can have some aftermarket support.

I don't care who you are, someone will always find a reason to bitch. If you went out of business trying to cater to them, they'd bitch about that too.

The washer was replaced, and everything has been good *fingers crossed.* Quick question - should there be significant feedback in the steering wheel at low speeds, once the high speed fan turns on??

What kind of washer did you replace with? I am having this same leak issue at the fan with the stainless braided upgrade lines.

it happened to mine too,, Tony made it right..

Hi- how did he make it right? Re: how did the upgraded braided lines work with washer & rubber oring/insert at fan without allowing leakage?

I think the overall design worked on some (most??) installations but relied on the aluminum casting being perfectly flat (and not too porous), to be leak free. It's a big ask for a rubber inserted metal washer to hold back that much pressure, reliably.
Unless it was redesigned to use a fitting that went inside the casting with o-rings, like O.E.M., I think "make it right" would mean refund.
If I had to guess.

Ah ok- do you have a pic of lines you had made possibly ? Mine's stuck in shop leaking at fan connect.

I don't have a hose shop near - big ask here--- could I pay you to have some made like yours at your hose shop? I'll pay twice cost of hoses or whatever is fair to you for your time. I'd love to try them, especially if keep from any changes in steering pressure etc. I want to get these ps lines leak free.

I took the oem lines to an Industrial Hose shop. They re-used the OEM fittings on the new hoses with the exception of the problematic swivel in the hose coming off the top of the ps pump. The swivel was just simply left out. The hoses are rated at 3500 psi over (over twice the pressure the pump can produce). The steering works as it should with the same feel as OEM.

I'd grab a set of leaky hoses which you should be able to get cheap. Send them to an Industrial Hose place and have them upgraded to 3500 psi (or so). Using silver solder, they are tough as nails and won't leak.

I'm not able to help you at this time; not the least of which I'm up in Calgary, Canada.
Honestly, any competent Industrial Hose Shop could help you out.

All they need to do is eliminate the Swivel and use the factory ends on the new hoses.

And you can do the same thing with the Oil-Cooler Lines.

BIG difference in sealing 100 psi (Oil Lines) and trying to seal 1500 psi (Power Steering Lines).

Careful with the fittings regarding how tight get them or alignment or ?-----so I can tell mechanic.

Both. There is a sending and return line.. ensure they are correct and they are not over torqued.

Are you taking it to a dealer or a independent?

Ah gotcha. Thanks. Actually truck is at a mechanic @ a Ford quicklane (not dealer). So I'll tell not to over torque them.
