Just start doing it

I started by with posts saying "Unofficial VTCoA Truck of The Month" and went from there. There is no rule that I'm aware of that prevents any one from doing this

So what about the main page? I am assuming only one person can do this? It can be set up with minimal effort so that someone else can deal with just that.
Just have it point to a spot that keeps a file called "TOTM.jpg" then that file gets changed every month.

Jeff, I am seriously up for this. Whether it be to help you get this back up, or to take it over.
Let me know and I will put up a poll to see what others think about getting it back up and running.

Maybe even start it where it can be passed every year to someone else to keep it going.. :dontknow:

I may have quit, that was only because what I was doing became null and void, so I quit something that no longer existed and could not tell people they would be on the front page, one thing I try not to do is lie

No problem Jeff, apology accepted. I realize it came from a place of frustration, just pissed me off a little.

I just was playing around a little and haven't been able to find a way that I can change the picture. I think only administrators are able to do that. If I do find out that I can, I'd be more than happy to take that over and change the pics every month.

And I apologize for the crack about quitting.

I for one enjoyed TOTM even though I knew bigred would prolly never even get nominated. I voted every month and I like pictures of VT's so this was the perfect outlet for that. Viper Jeff I want to thank you for all you have done for this site and its members.

Get yourself some nominations and then a quick poll an September can have a TOTM. I will not stand in your way or interfere with anyway you would like to run it. This is after all for the Members

I learned from asking questions the water doesn't get clearer, it just brings the mud to the top and makes what your thoughts harder

Put the front page image in a garage called TOTM, whoever runs the TOTM has the rights to place photos in that garage, then have the main page point to that photo. Each month, the photo in the garage gets replaced by a photo with the same name, problem resolved. The person running the TOTM, is responsible for uploading the photo to the garage each month.

You're looking at 15 minutes to set the whole thing up.

Im not thinking of a set number of people needing to vote. I am just curious who is really interested in gettting this back up and running.
If I had 10 people vote it would be fine with me. If no vendors supported it, it would be fine with me. There are people who want it, so I am simpily providing it.

I know it can be setup, I use this same process on my web sites. The garage thing makes it easy, just upload the graphic each month and it replaces the old one. Simple stuff.
