Cables seem find to me?
I'll pull off the TB and file the manifold slightly. Hopefully that fixes the issue.
No it's not the manifold man, its the blades sticking in the throttle body bores. Or that paint/powdercoat binding something up? :dontknow:
OK.
Could not get the voltage to change no matter how I installed the TPS.
Bought a new TPS. Installed it. Now has the correct voltage and no check engine light.
Now a new issue. As I am driving the truck the RPM stays at 1500 unless I blip the throttle- then it goes to normal 750 RPM.... Then, when initially starting off, the pedal sticks slightly and I have to give it extra effort until it opens the throttle and its quite jerky....
wtf?
start with reseting the iac, remove it , pull the pintle gently out until it stops, then reinstall, there will be resistance, if the pintal comes off, just screw it back on, not a problem
on the blades remove the throttle body, loosen the screws holding on the blades, slap open and closed the throttle, to center the blades, tighten then check
BBK had a problem with some of there blades being out of round, if you recenter and it still don't fix you may be able to send it back, although maybe not because of it being powder coated, but check those two things, if that does not work , you may try a new Iac, but more than likely its the bbk
Alright. Excuse my ignorance, but where is the IAC? (nevermind, its on the side of the intake manifold. )
The TB didn't seem to catch on anything when I was playing with it. But seems to have an issue when installed. I just have to tinker with it.
I tried to unscrew the IAC.
I broke it.
Truck still runs. Runs worse but runs.
Ordered one from Rockauto. Will have it in a couple of days. Will report back once I install it.
You sure you broke it? Plunger will come all the way out. You just put it back in sir. :burnout:
There is this plastic sleeve that the threaded pintle screws into to. It cracked in half.
That'll do it! Imagine the new one will fix you up.![]()
Sounds like it's just something with the TB, once in a while my ROE does it but rpm's drop to normal after a few seconds.......
That rots, have you tried reinstalling the OE TB to see if it goes back to normal?? try to rule out items.........What CAI are you using??
