Blackviper Engine Build

The truck is driving pretty good for being on a generic tune. I can't wait to finish up with the break-in miles and get it on the dyno.

Haven't done anything to the tranny yet other than a deep pan and a shift kit. A full build is next on my agenda.

OK,Kewl.I did a full build on my tranny, but don't have it running just yet another day or so of getting the last of the wiring and reconnecting ,rad, tranny cooler and a/c condesor and then should be getting close to firing.

Sounds like you're almost back on the road. How's that Evans coolant?

Here are a few more pics of the truck and the new traction bars. And before anyone comments, I know I have to detail the chassis. I'm just waiting to finish up the exhaust before I take on the task.

$800.00 or $900.00. Don't remember exactly. I would have to look for the receipt.

They're are designed to shift the theoretical center of the truck rearwards. They're also engineered similarly to sled pulling traction bars which should have an incredible amount of weight transfer. Just consider the length of the bars at 61 inches, that's a lot of leverage. I'll see how it compares when I can finally jump on the truck.

Thanks Jay.

You selling your old caltracs? :)

Maybe but you would have to have a flip kit for them to work and purchase new front leaf spring bushings.

It really depends on how many miles I can put on it. Tentatively, we talked about doing it a week from this coming Saturday.

Thank you.

Here ae some more pics. Cleaned up the wiring in the engine bay, insalled the acylic cover for the VEC box and installed an oem Viper decal on the fuel cell.

Looking good like always:rock: ,How far off the ground is your fuel cell?

The wheels are made by Raceline. They'll make them in any size, just ask for Chuck. He will be familiar with the back spacing we need.

The fuel cell is about 8 inches off the ground.
