the thing is with a 1/2 kit you dont need to change the bilsteins out
in my opinion the bilsteins are top of the line, they are gas charged and valved to fit our 10's.
the qa1's are adjustable, but for range of may applications, not specific to our trucks, and are really only good for racing, not for everyday driving.
the shocks that gary used were basically either a gabriel or monroe shock , at the most good for 20,000 miles , at the very most.
thats why I didnt even think of using any other shock than oem, they are top of the line, and when at a dealership I had taken ones off that had 80,000 miles on them and they still worked perfectly.
On carls note, i think a change from the qa1's back to the oem , would most likley take care of the problem, but too, he is running a taller tire that will give a different ride.
The springs I sell are not a huge difference from oem, they are jsut a tad stiffer so that under extreme bottoming conditions they shouldnt hit quit as hard as competitors,
I never have told this , but I guess its no matter now

, but most of the competitors springs, which I had two tested, were undersprung, the rate was the same basic rate as a hemi truck, way too light for our engines.
not saying they are bad , jsut saying thats why some members had a problem of bottoming out in large dips on the road.
on one more note, and Carl this is not aimed at you bro, I have had a ton of people ask me this
If you take a bone stock truck, and take measurements they are unlevel on one side, most people dont ever notice it .
But when a person takes and lowers the truck then they pull out the tape measure

and find that one side of the truck usually sits 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower on one side more than the other.
this is basically because of wieght, the fuel tank and driver is on the same side, so the weight is primarily concentrated on that side , causing unlevelness
sorry bout the spellin
But back to the point of the thread, if you have anything but the oem bilsteins on, takem off, try the oem shocks, you will most likely be amazed at the difference in ride:rock:
