Chattanooga GTG II June 7th

Long pants and sleeves are usually required. Helmet for 13.0 or faster, gloves for 12.0 or faster.

At least that's what it is here... probably at least similar up there.

We'll be leaving exit 273 NW of Atlanta by 8 AM... which puts us in Chatty by 9:30. We plan to wash here and quick detail there.

Alright guys - this is an important post! It contains lots of useful info. :D :D

Here's a tentative schedule. I didn't want anyone bored. I wanted to make sure there's plenty to do. I also didn't want to overplan this thing. All the events listed below are subject to change. ;)

Friday
6:30PM - They send us the f*ck home: Brainerd Optimist Dragstrip
Late - Later: Party @ Jack's til Betty sends us the f*ck on ;)

I got confirmation from the local track. They're definately running TnT on Friday night - weather permitting. Currently, the forecast looks to be in our favor!! http://www.brainerdracing.com/info.html Friday night is TnT night and they're less "restrictive" on the regulations. Last week I raced in flip-flops and shorts and a tee. They're pretty flexible. No passengers. I think if you made pass-after-pass that was below NHRA requirements they'll start enforcing it. Some of you may want to go ahead and bring a helmet. My shit is slow so I don't have to worry about it. ;)

Head to Jack's afterwards to play hide from the dirty old sausage. :dontknow: (That was Jack's idea. I may call it an early night)

Several of ya's are coming in on Friday in hopes to watch FATJACK ATTEMPT to kick everyone's ass at the track. I think we'll plan on going out there around 6:30 or 7:00 unless the most of you won't be there until later on. I think they run until 10:00 or 11:00. I can't remember. I think we'll probably just grab a burger or dog at the track or the few of us can try to eat somewhere (quickly) beforehand. It's Friday night, and trying to get a huge crowd in anywhere is going to take all night. However, it doesn't really make two shits to me. ;)

Saturday
8:00AM -(?) <Early enough to be on time for the show>: Breakfast at Shoney's or Golden Corral
10:00AM to 3:00 PM: Carshow - Swapmeet
Following the Carshow: Hooter's
Later on: We go to Jack's and destroy his home.

The "Big Day".

Those that want to get up early enough to get breakfast are encouraged to do so. Don't be disappointed if you don't see Roz at the breakfast table. ;)

We'll hit up the carshow at 10:00 til 3:00. Jack is going to have an RV there for anyone that wants to get out of the sun for a bit plus Jack lives literally 200 yards away from the campgrounds. There are several places a very short distance away to eat while we're at the show or we can grill out there at the campgrounds. I'm easy. I'd appreciate some input so we can go to Sam's and stock up on food! Oh, I heard the Beer Fairy will be present at the show too. :D

We'll go to Hooter's following the show to get drunk and ignorant and stare at strange wimmens with large tracts of land. Oh, we may eat a few chicken wings while we're there. I heard Georgia Ken likes chicken wings. And wimmens with large tracts of land. I think he likes to drink too! ;) Roz, however, does not drink.

Afterwards the debauchery will continue at FATJACK's. He's providing place for us to go afterwards and stay out of trouble. He opened up his home and RV to anyone needing accomdations incase they get overserved at any point during the day.

Sunday
Free-for-all.

You been in Chattanooga long enough. Leave now before you feel the urge to kiss your cousin or marry your sister! No, seriously. ;)

Heh, We'll play Sunday by ear. I know some of you's plan to appease the wives by exploring the town. There's lots of neat things to enjoy as a tourist. Those of you that want to get together again, we'll definately do that too!!!

Also due to Riverbend the police will be out hot and heavy. Just a little Heads up for ya guys coming in!! Can't wait to see ya guys

You know guys . . . I got to thinking yesterday/last night. (Yeah, I know. Roz is thinking!! Some bad shit is 'bout to happen!!!)

We'll probably need to arrive at the show closer towards 9:00 AM. The gates of the show open up at 10:00 AM. We'll need to be registered/parked/cleaned/situated by the time the gates open.

So you guys coming in on Saturday morning may want to reconsider and leave a few minutes earlier . . .

Thanks for the info. We'll be there by 9.

I just spoke to a friend of mine. They're going down to Steele, Alambama (Ala. International Dragway) for some 1/4 action on Sunday. If anyone that's still around then we can entertain that idea. (I think most of ya will be gone though.)

I sent mine off on 5/16, and that check never cleared my bank. I hope I'm registered:confused:

That seems to be the case. l ask my contact at work what the deal is with that. I know they've received several of our forms -as to whose I couldn't tell you. I'll look into it.

They may wait and cash/deposit the checks all at once after the show. I imagine many local people will register at the gate.

I sent an email out this AM. I'll let you guys know as soon as I know. (I just handed the guy I work with $20 and he took care of it for me.)

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D . . . Weather Update. . . :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Copied directly from an email . . .

I have all the checks in hand. I'm waiting until everything is done on Saturday, and then I'll turn it all over to Sam at one time. That's the only way we'll ever be able to keep it all straight and know what we actually ended up with.
