Working on getting her cleaned up for the track tomorrow. Clay bar'd it, washed in dawn, citrus based wax remover, compound, polished, 3 coats of paste wax, buff. More pics to come.
I found a touch up paint that matches the nightrunner wheels perfectly.

Man! how long does it take you to do all that? Looks good in pictures but bet it looks even better in person.

Ya know, I see trucks move around from owner to owner frequently and I see how poorly a fair percentage of them are treated.

I must say, this truck couldn't have found a better home, a better owner

She is B-E-A-utiful

looking good...for me wash with Dawn and Rejex on the ENTIRE truck, wipe on..wipe off no worries for 4-5 months min

That wash wax and clay bar mod should pick up a 1/10...

Thanks jeff
i've heard dish soap is hard on the clearcoat
I heard it was rain and sunlight.. you should keep your truck in climate controlled garage, not drive it, and only dust it with hand spun silk scarfs and distilled water. :chain: The dawn strips the old wax, removes oily residue so wax will cure and adhere properly. Washing your truck in dawn twice a year isn't going to hurt anything if it did, my truck wouldnt look so badass.

A lot of pros use dawn to preclean/strip the old wax. And from the great job Jeff did on his truck...it has obviously worked for him.
