Clay bar, polish, and wax

Working on getting her cleaned up for the track tomorrow. Clay bar'd it, washed in dawn, citrus based wax remover, compound, polished, 3 coats of paste wax, buff. More pics to come.
I found a touch up paint that matches the nightrunner wheels perfectly.

i've heard dish soap is hard on the clearcoat

I heard it was rain and sunlight.. you should keep your truck in climate controlled garage, not drive it, and only dust it with hand spun silk scarfs and distilled water. :chain: The dawn strips the old wax, removes oily residue so wax will cure and adhere properly. Washing your truck in dawn twice a year isn't going to hurt anything if it did, my truck wouldnt look so badass.

A lot of pros use dawn to preclean/strip the old wax. And from the great job Jeff did on his truck...it has obviously worked for him.
