A couple thoughts come to mind on this topic,1.Maybe to allow people with disabilities access to a fun vehicle,2.Maybe to ALLOW the FAMILY man to enjoy said vehicle,3.Maybe to allow people who don't want to be bothered with shifting an alternative,4.Or maybe just to totally baffle those that can't see BEYOND THEMSELVES (read selfish)!!! There was a big stink awhile back about another member who had the nerve to put a TOPPER on his Yellow Fever 10,until they were made aware of the fact that this gentleman was confined to a wheelchair !!! Then the backpeddling began !!! Once again it's just a case of being Narrow Minded !!! I personally have a physical disability, and am soooo glad the QC AUTOMATIC allows me the opportunity to enjoy this truck !!!Which I do,and I think 63K mi verifies that,I don't have a garage queen that only comes out if the sun is shining,it's used EVERY DAY !!!

Very well put!! Some of us have families, kids and maybe do some towing,If they really wanted these trucks untouchable from factory, guess the would have forged the motors and put blowers on them to start!!

May as well throw my 2c worth in. When I looked I never considered (or would) getting a quad cab, don't look as sporty and just too big. Like, stretched and "dopey" long. I see how families may want them but if I were needing a family wagon I'd get a Jeep Grand Cherokee, even an SRT8 version. These trucks are impractical which ever way you look at it, they're a performance truck and in my opinion, only the stick shift trucks offer real drivers performance. You point an auto, you drive a Manual. Nothing like banging cogs. ;)

As far as fastest, any car, any brand can set fast 1/4 miles with modifications.
Always base performance on stock vs stock and as we all know the Regular cab is king of the hill.

Cheers,
Carl

With the QC you can carry your family around with you and get more truck uses, and still do mid 13's from the factory. Call me crazy, I just love the look of the 05 QC's, more than any year RC. Best looking trucks ever made though hands down (RC&QC).

Maybe I am missing the point here but why is this thread bashing fellow SRT-10 trucks? Whether it is a QC or a RC is it not still an SRT-10? A unique bad ass truck that gets respect and looks galore when it is out on the road whether it is a QC or RC? Both trucks have their strengths and weaknesses, QC can tow and has room, RC has stick and is more sporty. Like I said, they are both different, and each has their own qualities, does not necessarily make one better than the other one. Just a matter of each owners personal preferences/needs. This is just my take on the two models.

its just what this forum has turned into...btw I got a QC because I needed room for my wife and 2 girls...as far as RC being faster, I manned up and just bought a Viper, no RC is touching me, especially above 155mph!:p :D

This is like arguing over a hot blonde or a hot brunette. We all have our preferences.

I'm just thankful that Dodge made the damn thing in the first place or we would never have this discussion or even all be here in this SRT10 brotherhood.

I agree with you. Maybe we can bash each other for the choice of color or options next. I understand its winter and maybe we're getting a little stir crazy but come on...

for me, I wanted the weight savings....but QC's definitely have its place (friends going out, towing, auto - convenience, etc...)

Call me lame, but If they made a RC / Auto, I would have picked that up...would have been nice for the track.

NJ is great!!! Cold as anything at times in the winter and scorching hot summers.

well, I have a 2005 2500 Diesel QC for the "heavy lifting" and a 2005 Rumble BEE for the "thrill" I also have a 2007 Durango for the "grocery getter" I know most people can't get that many vehicles to drive but I still think they should have left the limited edition trucks to the RC. IMO
