I still have mixed feelings about "dealers" and "pushers" .It seems to be they are somewhat reviled while "users" aren't.
The principle of supply and demand comes into play here.If there were no demand,there would be no supply and thus no dealers.So applying that logic,it is the users causing the dealers to become criminals.
I see no more evil in drugs than in cigarettes and alcohol.It is the users themselves that make a wreck of their lives due to the inability to control their desire for their "drug" of choice,be it pot,alcohol,meth,gambling,etc.If you can't control it,whatever "it" is,then leave it alone.
It is when (and only when) their actions impact on others that the law should punish them.After all , it is already illegal to steal from others,to assault others,to run over people with your car.So there is legal recourse for punishment of people that fail to control their actions,be it due to drugs,alcohol or whatever.

How many of us are running our trucks on the streets without cats and yet we don't see ourselves as criminals,do we ? And IF some of the reports are correct,we are destroying our very own world,and if we don't see it,our kids or grandkids just might.Should we violate a Federal law just for a more bitchin' sound or 20 HP ? Yet we do it and justify it all the time.Drug users and dealers find a justification for their actions as well(can't help it,can't find a job,nothing really wrong with it).If you study criminal psychology,you will find that most all criminals broke the law with some sort of reason for doing so.

u have some good points but i do disagree about the gay issue,i think they are born that way,its not like i'm gonna wakeup some morning and say gee i wonder if i should suck a dick today,consider that there are plenty of foods we dont like including sperm,what i do think is that we are programmed at an early age to accept something or not accept,that being said one of the first things we learn is religion and of course after that we get a course of whats right and wrong according to that religion,gay seems to be taboo in most religions,me being brought up catholic and being forced togo to a catholic school as a kid i learned a valuable lesson,i can sin all week and be forgivin on sat and sunday(since i had togo to mass on both those days!
now what i find interesting is that being gay is a sin and everyone will march against it call people names and murder people over it yet all the other sins arent so bad,really i dont think one sin is any better or worse than another if u follow this rule yet people catagorize sins ,silly in my book ,in the end i dont follow what i was taught because it really promotes hatred towards others when no matter what we are all different and unique ,just because we dont agree with ones lifestyle doesnt mean it wasnt meant tobe that way

I was raised Christian and still believe that the act of homosexuality is wrong.Where "religions" have gone wrong is in hating the people committing the act versus hating the act itself.It used to be listed as a "crime against nature".There is no way on earth anyone can give a legitimate reason that it should be looked on as natural act.My personal belief is that AIDS is Nature trying to eradicate a wrong on the earth.I don't believe it is God striking them down or else HE would be showing prejudice.
There are many good people that are practicing homosexuals.There are also many otherwise good thieves/liars/killers/adulterers.We all have our personal temptations,be they to get drunk,cheat on our wives,lie to our boss,beat the dog,steal,eat way too much,or whatever.We may otherwise be perfect ,but that doesn't excuse the wrong we did.My own personal opinion is that the act of homosexuality is no more or less wrong than any other sin (except that the BIBLE states that when we commit sexual sins,we are sinning against our own bodies),but it is,nevertheless a sin.Therefore God wouldn't call it a sin if people were born that way and could not help themselves.You may have been born with that temptation hounding you more than any other,but you still have a choice to give in or resist it.

I agree totaly that Jesus paid for every sin and I believe the only thing keeping anyone from Heaven is not accepting His forgiveness by not believing on Him.It has been paid for but you have to accept it to get the benefit of it.
