Doms Turbo Truck Build V.87.2

That truck will be a beast on the track, can't wait to see vid Justin and I totally agree 100% about Chris Jensen, he is an amazing tuner he tuned my truck and a bunch of others down in Calgary Alberta here in June, excellent guy to deal with! Best of luck Justin and Dom.

Thanks guys, got it tuned yesterday and today. A huge thanks to Joe at PBJ and Chris Jensen. Chris is an incredible tuner and is a super nice guy! The Pectel system is fantastic and has so much more capability than we had before, this turbo viper engine sounds insane on the two step!!! Ive got a base tune in the chassis thanks to a good friend Scott Griffin of Griffin Racecraft (you should see the funny car cage hes doing on a mutual customers gen 2 viper!), so we are pretty much ready to go for Hot Rod Drag Week. Unfortunately we are going to have very little track testing time (if any) before the event, so we will be testing during competition it looks like. Its going to be an awesome experience though, 5 tracks in 5 days, driving the truck 1200 miles between them all!!!Justin

Justin that is so badass man. Your craftsmanship is phenomenal. Incredible this truck is driven to the track!

You got it, alive on day 5 is the goal. We are in the 2nd fastest class, it looks like 12 cars total are in the class (pro street power adder). Last years winner went high 7s so we won't be a contender but that's not why we are going anyway. It will definitely be an experience. I've burned about 30 gallons of fuel on this new combo and feel good about everything. Will be trying to squeeze in some testing this week and then leave Saturday for Drag Week! Before Chris left today we worked on the 2/3 step and if this thing hooks it will be a rocket I think. Chris said "let's make a pull in second", I told him it never hooked in second on the original 8 psi tune lol. I rolled into it about half throttle and by 4500 rpm he waved me off on a measly 5-6 psi!

whats the turbo capable of?????:dontknow:

We are running 22ish, there's more left in it but we need longevity. This motor has taken some serious abuse in the past 4 years with nothing other than oil changes, so we need to keep it going.
Justin

Racings done at 1pm assuming no weather delays, so we will probably head out right after that.

even with those tires, you're torching the rollers??? damn!

Took my guys for a ride today since theyve worked so hard on this project, 3rd gear rolled into it and did a 100mph burnout. I dropped the tire pressure to 20psi hoping it would hook a little better, but it didnt make much difference, thats on the extremely safe pump gas tune as well.
Justin

Its about 3880 in race trim with a full tank of fuel. I was weighting before with no fluids in it, so I was real close on the dry weight but that doesnt mean much lol.

I hope to be there as well! We are expecting a decent cool front into the 80's versus the 100's we're in now. Not beautiful DA weather but should be much better than now.:D
Be nice to meet y'all!

Good Luck Guys! I know how it feels to put all your efforts in something and it would be nice to see you guys go down there and run a number. :D

We had some good testing today (just 60' testing/chassis tuning) and just getting some seat time. Low 1.4 60's all day once we dialed in the suspension/tire pressure. Thats on the little pump gas tune too :D
