Exhaust help

My dad just bought a 2004 ram 1500, viper powered srt-10. Ive been looking around to see what exhaust would sound and perform nicest on the truck. I was wondering what you guys thought? what recommendations do you guys have as far as exhaust brands?

I had the Magna-flow cat back, the muffler didn't last very long. I now have the Mopar/Borla cat back; much higher quality. A number of guys have full Billy Boat systems. Tony sells MBRP exhaust. It's up to you! Best bet is to meet up with some folks and listen to their trucks.

Mine busted 2 weeks ago. Think the inner tube broke off. Sounded like there is loose metal clanking in it. it rattled and reverberated at certain rpms.

Magnaflows lasted me a long time, I only replaced after a driveshaft incident, I like the sound and run a dual in, dual out 3" muffler.

It was around 5 or 6000 miles. Not very long! I still prefer the dual tips, instead of the single that the Borla has.

I have a new-in-box, magnaflow muffler I bought, I think it may be direct replacement for the magnaflow in the SRT system. I went with a dif custom set up. PM me if interested. I got it cheap and am only looking to cover what I paid and shipping. I can check the number when I get home tonight.

Exhaust for RAM SRT-10

I have the mostly Billy Boat system. Sound great, good old American Quality:elefant:, the system is completely polished (look good), but with most thing with qualty it cost. I suggest Billy Boat, they stand behind their product.:rock:

Magnaflow Muffler

I got the muffler out. It was a separate purchase item, not taken directly from an SRT-10 Magnaflow kit. It is Magnaflow pt number 12469. Case is 5x8", 18" long. Has dual 3" in and out. 3" is the I.D. of all in/out pipes, and their center to center distance is just over 4 1/8th", both in/out. There is 3/4" space between the pipes. Inside, is like and X, but not exactley, each end the dual 3" pipes converge into one short (looks like 4") section of 3" pipe, then diverges back to dual 3".

I don't have Magnaflow system to hold this up against, but it looks very similar from pics.

Can someone here say if this is the same size as the one the SRT-10 system.

belanger long tube headers, two high flow cats, and magnaflows...

i'm a cheap ass most of the time... my first magnaflow exhaust lasted about 60k but i kept driving it... then i put a used one on at about 85k... still running it...
