A little disappointed in that the SRT-10 still has a major handling problem. I made one pass in the truck, but it was moving all around on the high end, so I parked it for the rest of the night. I will be getting poly bushings next week to see if that helps. Otherwise I will start from square one and redo the entire suspension system. I have QA1 shocks, maybe they are getting worn? I will double check their settings.
I also had a hell of a time trying to launch the Cadillac with street tires. First pass I had too low a tire pressure, bogged really bad (60' 2.246) and the car wobbled terribly at high speeds. I aired the tires back up to 31 PSI for the rest of the night. If I bog the car out of the hole the supercharger has a hard time recovering so I probably go a good 100' before it starts pulling. If I get too aggressive, I spin too much....I actually hate these Traction control vehicles....although I turned them off. I have much to learn....poor old Grampa.
Anyway here are the results:

SRT-10 : DA 1909', 60' 1.687, 1/8th mile 7.625 @ 89.48, 1/4 mile 11.918 @ 114.48 mph.

Cadillac CTS V:
Run 1, DA 1909', 60' 2.246 (bog), 1/8th 8.280 @ 93.05, 1/4 mile 12.461 @ 118.21mph.
Run 2, DA 1772', 60' 2.304 (bog), 1/8th 8.412 @ 92.22, 1/4 mile 12.615 @ 117.71 mph (slowest of the night).
Run 3, DA 1625', 60' 2.089, 1/8th 8.093 @ 93.23, 1/4 mile 12.268 @ 118.89 mph ( best corrected run of the night 12.196 @ 119.597).
Run 4, DA 1467', 60' 2.325 (spinning), 1/8th 8.417 @ 93.09, 1/4 mile 12.594 @ 118.74 mph.
Run 5, DA 1250', 60' 2.055, 1/8th 8.070 @ 93.16, 1/4 mile 12.240 @ 118.91 mph (new personal best) (corrected to 12.196 @ 119.35).

All in all , pleased with the speed of the CTS V. It smashed my SRT-10 speed record (Truck's best speed = 118.15), so 4 of the 5 passes beat the truck. Only mods are AIRAID CAI and a Tune. They are about the same weight, I think the CTS V is a little heavier (say 4250 vs 4170 for the truck). There were 3 other CTS V's at the track. 1 sedan, 1 wagon, and another coupe. All 3 of them had upper pulley changes along with CAI and tunes. The wagon was also a 6-speed manual (street tires) the sedan an automatic (drag radials) and the other coupe an automatic (street tires). The wagon ran (12.74 @ 113.8, 12.79 @ 111.70), the sedan ( 12.06 @ 113.35, 12.54 @ 113.59, 11.96 @ 114.83, and 12.04 @ 117.41), and the other coupe was the best of the night @ ( 12.01 @ 119.00 against me, and 11.84 @ 117.02). So I was happy speed wise (2nd fastest by .09 mph) and the only one with a stock pulley ( I feel I was the most consistent speed wise, consistently FAST). Oh and the other coupe has a cat-back exhaust. Enjoy the Videos over in the media section. Much thanks to Brad and Pete for the video and pictures.

Sounds like you might be modding the Caddy now Jerry. That really is a bummer on the truck, guess those loose u-bolts didn't fix the problem. Better to get that fixed now before you throw more HP at it.

Caddy is an auto or stick?

I don't under stand recovery time for the super charger. Maybe you ment the engine. The blower is instant power, doesn't spool like a turbo.

Jerry only drives manual, he looked for that Caddy a long time. :D

Really...you don't know me by now? 6-Speed manual of course. I meant by recovery that my rpm's were so low after bogging that there was virtually no boost at below 2,000 rpm, I know there is no lag like a turbo but you do need some rpm. according to my dyno chart the power starts coming on at 2500 or so. I really need some drag radials, a Lineloc, a good burnout and launch at over 3500 rpm and I think I will be into the 11's easy with the kind of speed I am turning. If I can knock .3 off the 60' ( say 1.75 ) I should easily knock .4-.5 off the ET ( 11.80's or better).

I figured out the real secret to the automatics advantage, besides being easier to launch than a manual transmission. The 6-speed manual cars have a 3.73 rear gear and a 2.66 1st gear in the trans. The automatic cars have a 3.23 rear gear , but 1st gear is 4.03. Multiply these 2 and you have: the manual trans cars have a 1st gear overall ratio of 9.9218 (2.66 x 3.73), and the automatic cars have a 1st gear overall ratio of 13.0169 (4.03 x 3.23). It would take a rear end ratio of 4.89 in the manual car to be even in 1st gear. Also the 4th gear in the automatic is 1.15 x 3.23 = 3.7145, and the manual is 1.00 x 3.73 = 3.73, so about dead even in high gear. The gear ratio advantage goes to the automatics in 1st through 3rd gears. So I think I'm doing pretty good. I can't claim the record for speed because I have a tune and a CAI. The first time out I also had the tune but stock Air cleaner and I turned 117.16 (and the DA was 1870')....but again I had a tune and was not pure stock. Still I think I'm doing really well against those cars with pulleys. My friend with the Coupe (Mario) said he gained 60 rwhp with the upper pulley and I'm sure he gained some with the cat-back exhaust and CAI. Although we have the same tuner, and the same dyno.....and he made 520 rwhp (on a hot day) and my car made 515.6 rwhp with just the tune and CAI (last Thursday) . I realize the manual trans cars lose less HP than the automatics from drive train loss.
