Good to know about the tents. Sorry to hear that the shifter BLOKED youThere were no TENTS at the drag strip!Seriously though, the shifter is very close, but it feels very stiff, and just bloked me going smoothly into 3rd gear at full power shifts, I can do it at low speed, clutch adjustment is fine, not too close to the floor and some play at the top.
Noid, sounds to me like your truck is too much for the tracks timing system to handle.I'm still baffled that I got my best 60 foot and highest mph in the same run but I still did not beat my personal best. Someone clue me in.
Hope you got pics
... I was happy with the carbon fiber driveshaft. Generally my 60' times are averaging from 1.68 to 1.74. Today I had a 1.598, 1.617,1.640,1.633, 1.633. First pass of the day was the best.
Pass 1: 1.598 60', 7.488 @ 90.18 1/8th mile, 11.754 @ 116.14. DA was 1280'
it seems like the carbon DS is a good benefit for the real racers...
it "felt" to me like it helped, but i couldn't prove it... well... maybe i just never cared to review the data to prove it...
either way, starting out in 1st, i'd say there isn't much room for error in the data here... you're starting out in 1st with both DS's...
taking almost 1/10th off on average... that's a good mod for the racers, IMO...
This is Jimmy, my buddy was the one with the Camaro. I was ragging on him about needing a driver mod so I told him to have your drive his car and it worked, lol. Good seeing you again. I saw SRTBrad from a distance as he was on the opposite stands in the sun.Results from today...not the best. I am having trouble with the Gen II JTS Venom shifter. I am going to reinstall the Gen I and retest. I was happy with the carbon fiber driveshaft. Generally my 60' times are averaging from 1.68 to 1.74. Today I had a 1.598, 1.617,1.640,1.633, 1.633. I had fun though, because I got to drive a supercharged Camaro SS for the first time. This guy I just met for the first time today from the LA Area, had a new 45th anniv. Camaro, built 6.2 LS3 with a Whipple supercharger, not fully tuned but guessing he dynoed about 640+, he was still tuning the car with his lap top. His problem was Street Tires! His friends all told him to have me drive the car, as he was spinning bad and could not shift that well. He ran a 12.7@118 , then a 12.26 @119 , his best, and a couple other passes, all with 2.30+ 60' times. I had never driven on of these new Camaros. He had a Hurst short shifter, Mcleod twin disc clutch , and stock 3.45 gears, on 305 series street tires. He showed me how to turn off the traction control, I asked at what RPM he was launching, and what rpm he was shifting at. I then got in the car, cleaned off the tires (no long burnout), launched at about 2300 rpm( he was using 2800-3000 rpm) easy off the line then bury the throttle, I power shifted at 6500 rpm (he had been shifting at 6800)....car was smooth and quick...I had a 2.030 60'....and I ran a 11.58 @124.6mph. That guy was happy! I had fun....kinda made my day:rock:
Noid 's best was 12.26 @ 114+ (his best speed ever, with a 1.69 60'). He did not have an 11 second pass....the time slips were in error....one was an 11.08 @ 111. + , and one was in the 10's....weird!

SRTBrad, did you happen to get a vid of Jerry running the Camaro?
Can you send me a copy and/or a link to that run.Yes I recorded the whole event. I used the GoPro's this time in addition to the usual cameras. Doing a test to see the quality of the GoPro's.
Can you send me a copy and/or a link to that run.
Thanks
Just got back from weighing the SRT-10 in race trim...1/4 tank of fuel...4170 lbs!
Very nice!!! About what a Challenger/Charger weigh I believe :chain:
:rock::burnout: outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!
ThanksI will need to digitize and edit the footage first.
