I started a project that I shouldn't have, and now I am in danger of not making it until late tomorrow afternoon.

I decided this afternoon to finally install my lo-temp t-stat. What a BITCH!!!

I got it out, finally, and now trying to get it back together the housing doesn't want to fit properly. Any suggestions!?
 
Alright Stinker sounds good!!! You have to delay the truck race as long as you can maybe the last lil bit or somethin in case somethin holds me up even more but at this point I'm looking realistically at a 4:30pm arrival. All I have to do is Kiteboard from Jupiter (leaving 9:30am) down to Ft. Lauderdale which is about 60 miles. I compete in a race series and this is one of the MAIN events of the season. Last year the finale race was from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas which I got 2nd:rock: in so this year I'm making a run at the points title. According to the forecast I should be able to make it to Ft. Laud in under 3hrs then woof down some pizza, grab a beer and hit the road which is a 3.5 hour drive figure 3 for me!:D I aint gonna hang around for the awards ceremony or nothin....I got more exciting shit to do! As stated.....I gots a room for me and my passenger and NTWORK if he gets left in the dark.:dancing:

NTWORK......I replaced my thermostat and my bro helped me......he did most of the work so I didn't get a look at exactly how it went on but it didn't take too long. Ask Stinker!
 
My future bro in law is riding shotgun this wknd. I only live a lil over an hr away from the track, so I will most likely be driving home. That is unless we stay awake all weekend. But I will be there all day Sat and sun, until the fat lady (hopefully not fat, but really hot, with huge knockers, in a bikini) sings.
 
ntwork the housing cant be much,but i bet no dealer has it in stock.i just ordered a oil dipstick and it had to come from out of state..
 
I'm going to the airport to pick up Jack...in 3 hours....

Were not going to make the dyno at Heffner's in the am...
Were only 45 minutes from the track...were putting the line lock, and bead locking the rims tomorrow morning...then whatever.:dontknow:
Not sure if anyone other than Stinker -n- Mrs Stinker will be in Friday or not?
If there will be folks in on Friday...we may hit the hotel...vs. staying at the house....:dontknow:

Sunday should be fun to watch... and were only ten minutes from the hotel to the track:rock:

Did manage to road test these today.... been a hell of a week.
 
I snapped the thermostat housing!! I will post a pic when I pull it off. I needed a few minutes to calm down!!!!

Yeah, well it's been quite a night! I put my cell phone close to me in case I needed to answer it, and I crushed it in the hinges of the hood when I close her up for the night!! :mad: :shot: :argh: :argh: :argh: :stupido2: :stupido2: :bawling: @#%^#&##%^%$

And I think I know where I went wrong! I pulled the old thermostat out, but I think part of the old gasket was stuck way down low, and I never saw it. I think. :dontknow:

There is a metal ring that fell out when I pulled the housing off, but it is bent. Is that part of the new, or old gasket? It looks like the new thermostat would work without that ring, that's why I am confused about it. :confused:
