Headlight and Fog Bulb change out question

I think they are MUCH better. They are whiter and maybe a little brighter. They do give a cleaner look though. The fog bulbs are 9006ST/2's (2 indicating a 2 pack). I got mine from Autozone. I think the dash light problems are only for the HID guys, I could be wrong.

here is the problem!
you guys are just changing the bulb, right?
now with us, there is no more highlight's so that's why it say's light out!
when i hit the high light's on mine, all light's go out?
funny but that's the cost of having HID's.
now i here lot's of people say there is something to get rid of the light out thing but i still have not seen it?
LIAR's!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Hot Ram,

i had 80W or 100W bulbs a few years ago in another car. They worked very well about 6 month, then one day i smelled some smoke when driving. The smoke got more, it came out of the light switch. I switched off the light, but the switch was melted because it was made for 50W and not for 100w. I was lucky not to get fire by hot wires, so only the switch had to be changed. Since then i am only using stock bulbs.

How long have you your 80W bulbs in your car? Do you switch it on only by night or at daytime (i do so) too? What do you think, how many hours did you use your 80W bulbs, since you put them in your car? It would be interesting whether the light switch is getting hot, when light is on longer time. Can you test it?

best regards

had them in almost all summer.I only drive it on weekends and VERY little at night. Thanks for the heads-up.I'll check the switch for heat next time I have the lights on.

Just installed my PIAA head lamp and fog lamp bulbs. They look good and light up the road a lot better. I also was able to get at my fogs by just turning my tires. Only took about 5 minutes for the fogs.

Drove it home about two hours with lights on.No heat on the switch. If I remember the switch runs to a relay that then turns on the lights,so it shouldn't get hot.:dontknow:

I just bought the Silverstars last night and installed the fog lights in 3 mins. No light warnings yet. I'm waiting on my projector headlights to come in tomorrow. I'm installing Silverstars in those too.

Im wanting to do the same, projectors and silverstars. How did they turn out? Look, brightness, warning lights????

Rob

Silverstars have a new bulb called the Ultra. 25% more light. Is anyone running these yet and how do they compare to the standard Silverstars?

I'm using the Silverstar Ultras in my 2005 RC. These are the best bulbs on the market - they last longer and light up the road much better. I recommend. No error codes either.

i have been looking for fog xenon light but i couldnt find any. do anyone know the link that have fog xenon light that would fit my 04 rc? and what is the number to fog light bulb?

carefull with these high watt bulbs, I have seen rams and neons come in with a melted headlamp switch/multifunction switch.
