I just read a lengthy and bashing thread on some forum about viper heads over the last 3-4 years.

From what I read,

Jeff Mory did the strikers and then sold the design to another's company that is/was making them. Greg Good does the best port work on viper heads.

You can swap to gen4 heads but have problems with exhaust and PS hookups

Is there a place that has the best CURRENT information on swap availability? ??

Also read that Rolling Thunderz and BTR heads were problems, again, on a bashing thread

Jeff M. did design and sell Striker Heads. The company was sold to Exotic Engines, but for reasons unknown, the deal fell through. No Striker Heads are being manufactured now. It has been 9 years since the Gen 3 engine has been made, too limited of a market to design or invest in new heads.

MOPAR makes a Gen 4 conversion, but it is not a direct swap for the trucks.....headers etc.

Greg Good does port heads and is well known in the Viper community.

Hope that answers some of the questions you have.

Very unfortunately, really high c.f.m. numbers tend to sell heads and then the bullshit starts to fly, like it often does in the high performance world.
If you are spending money on ported o.e.m. or aftermarket heads, the heads that produce the most power and NOT the most flow, are the ones to own.

So basically the information from 3-5 years ago is still the most correct.

Did Jeff M. just get out of the business or pass away? ? Where are the molds/CNC files? ??

I believe Jeff M. works for Chrysler. He developed the Gen IV head. The Striker heads became a conflict of interest and thus the sale of the company. I believe the Gen IV head had improved mid-range over the Striker.

Yes, I think the last straw was when the Striker-equipped Gen III Vipers were kicking ass on the new Gen IV Vipers in the sanctioned F.I.A. races in Europe.

The fact that the "older" Gen IIIs were beating up on the new Gen IVs was confusing potential Viper buyers.

Mr. Morys was given an ultimatum and discontinued Strikers.

As far as I know he is still in the Airflow Research division at Chrysler designing cylinder heads.
