I'm sure there are several.

I will guarantee that they all have experienced and accomplished tuners to thank for it.

If it has not already been made abundantly clear, these engines are somewhat delicate for a high performance engine. They are equipped with pistons and rings that are not suitable for much beyond stock performance, and have a host of other issues such as oiling problems, block flex, and an intake that leans out the first four cylinders (especially dangerous under boost). A great Viper tuner is essential, as even slight detonation over a period of time will break these engines in stock form.

It has to be built right and tuned right, or it will be a ticking time bomb.

You have a excellent point Eric about beiing tuned right:rock: ,what if this Paxton truck were bought and then retuned? pending on how long its been running with that set up,I'm thinking this is the only chance the truck has for survival? :dontknow:

The most obvious problems besides not being able to fix Walt's build...Hilgee tore down the build and found discrepancies between the build sheet specs and the actual parts. In my mind that is criminal.

I once had someone build an engine for me and I supplied the parts...I had to use a breaker bar to get my pistons back...they were still in the box...the breaker bar pried them loose very quickly...

Thats exactly why I try and do all my own stuff or have someone I know do the stuff for me,you gotta be sure you know where its going but not always 100%.I would only trust our vendors here or someone you know personally.

I'll just have Joanne straighten you out.

Reputation is everything. Honesty is supreme.

Our trucks are part of our family...at least part of mine...that is why I use trusted vendors...Sean, Tony, Justin...are at the top of my list, they take care of that which I love...

hell yeah...lol

I had trouble with the build.....it kept smoking here are some pictures....also it went back and forth to Houston several times on the last trip back to me I decided to sell it and took at 60% loss on what I had in the truck and it was sold to a member of this forum....he took the truck apart after he had a problem and found some issues...not sure what all were but somethings did not add up according to the build sheet that was provided to me once the truck was complete.

Just research Sir, and still open for debate!!!, We are only referencing an SRT10 with some bolt on products that apparently is being sold by a private individual even by your own reference earlier may be viable? This truck is being sold by an individual not a company. I suppose its like the guy that was busted in a ring trying to solicit kids for sex and he drove an SRT 10 QC, (The fact he drove one of these trucks doesn't make all of us kid molesters??) As you state the product a stock truck with after market goodies bolted on has been shown to be reliable under 600 rwb , I would not change JH's life one bit considering a purchase like this ! ( Emotion isn't usually required when asking for technical advice) I am merely searching for a good deal from a private individual that may be viable???:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

ps I see the waters do run deep with emotion in this thread!! I just have to see through the fog and look from 60000 feet, in lieu of being in the trenches.

Personally I believe you should buy the truck. You deserve it.

After all, the majority of those that have responded have first hand experience with Henessey, and you ignore the advice.

Buy it and lose your ass. Like I said, you deserve it.

F*cking idiot.

Those are the pics I was referencing in my previous post...that's just criminal.

I respect your opinion Sir, as discussed is the viability of the vehicle??

Points of fact I am not ignoring advise!

1/ The motor internals have never been tore apart by Hennesey. ( fact)
2/ The Truck has a supercharger manufactured by others. (fact)
3/ Basically a stock truck with bolt ons. (fact)
4/ What knowledge I think that has been gleaned from this thread is that JH is a piece of shit ( agreed) opinion
5/ What if the the vehicle had a Roe Charger and no H Badges ( how long would the motor last?) I think the post D/anjo wrote was very informative regarding longevity of the stock motor with a blower.( fact based on experience)
6/ Prof indicated not at 1/2 the price and this was agreed by other members ( principal based on JH reputation and subsequently their emotion)" Remember this is a stock truck block with bolt ons"?

I valued all input and I'm not stating I'm purchasing the truck:) most that have responded had very bad experiences based on " a complete build melt down" and lack of customer service thereof! This apparently is not the case here:dontknow: !

Referring to someone who asks a question as an "Idiot" is only something an ignorant fool would do! as I'm sure Roy would agree with.:marchmellow: :marchmellow:
