Last night I was on my way home from work about 4AM crusing in the SRT-10 about 55-60 MPH nothing crazy. The roads were a little wet and it was about 27 degrees out. My girl was way in front of me in her Exploder. I came out of small ramp that takes me to another highway when I felt the rear end start walking on me to the left. I tried to counter steer the truck no luck I was for sure going into the ditch. I was spinning down the road when a last ditch effort like anyone else would do I held my foot on the brakes and braced for impact.

I have to say the brakes saved my ass. I ended up facing the opposite way of traffic with no impact to anything. Since it was 4AM traffic was almost nowhere to be found. I'm sitting there thanking my stars I did'nt wreak when a damn 18 wheeler which seemed to be coming at me like a train was flashing his lights at me. I tried to start the truck and all it did was turn over with no catch. I was for sure the 18 wheeler was going to hit me so I bailed out of the truck in the middle of the highway and ran like I was on fire toward the ditch. The semi missed my truck by what seems like a few inches. After the 18 wheeler went by I hopped back in the truck and tried to start it again. I had to hold the throttle to the floor to start it but she started. I strapped my belt on and was on my way. My girl met me at the light at our exit. She rolls her window down and asked what took me so long to catch up, she did'nt see any of it happen, I smiled at her and said " Had some engine problems" She looks at me like I'm crazy.

I got lucky, very lucky, I learned that these trucks at moments notice in any kind of wet conditions can flip out on you. I'm a pretty good driver and am still learning to drive this truck and do everyday in any condition. I guess I have to go into grandpa mode when I'm driving in cold wet weather.

Anyhow I'm still here. Cheers!

WHEW! i am happy that you and ur truck are fine! thanks god for this! even today couple hour ago, there was a bad snow storm, i was only go at 20mph or less! it was very bad and each time when i tried stop my rear end always slid to left or right. i have try to control it... it was pretty bad and even when i tried to start move my truck and tires was just spinning and took time to start move but i am at home and safety, thanks god for this too

Scary stuff. Glad you and the truck came out of it unscathed. It's a good thing you got out of the truck before you crapped yourself. That's what I would have done too.

His truck saw the semi coming too and also crapped itself. Took a few revolutions to clean itself out.

Good news is always the kind I like to hear  :D

I am glad you were able to come out of this alive .

Glad everything turned out ok.Glad the SRT is just my "for fun only "truck.I have a 99 Ram 4x4 for everyday.

I really enjoyed the story..........

The "it wouldn't fire up.....jumped out'a the way of the 18 wheeler part"...was especially hairy........... Well told and without a frickin' scratch on him........

There's no God...... I keep tellin' you guys...........

Great fkn story.....Greater to have you alive and well............

yeah but i am sure it was very scary thing that would happen to any one of us someday...let hope there wont be any

It was like some crap out of a movie for me. The semi was coming around the same corner I did and all I kept thinking when I say his headlights are "He's gonna hit me and its not going to be pretty". I know the semi driver did everything he could to move as far away from my truck with out a sudden lane change and loosing control himself. I was for sure he was going to hit the truck. Whats weird to me is that I did'nt get excited or freak out about it.
I would buy another beater car or daily driver but my commute to work is a whole 6 miles each way. I might put 300 miles on my truck a month so its not cost effective for me to maintain another vechicle with insurance and what not.

I will say the tires on these trucks are great for dry weather and that is about it. I wonder if I sould buy a traction bag for the bed or get 20's to run in the winter will all season tires. Anyone running that setup during the winter? My problem is that one nice day where its warm and you want your 22's on for awsome traction your stuck with the all season turds.

Imagine what it would be like driving these trucks with a SC in the winter. I don't think you could get any traction. Anywho thanks for the feedback.

maybe this will help ya, PIRELLI TIRES SUCK!!!! when in cold or water:p :p :p

hope this helps :D :D :D
