CLOSER TO LEVEL LOOKS GOOD.WILL POST PIC.
Sounds like a Big job. anothe r poster also mention about spring rates and handling being effected. Thought there was a quick solution.I thought by just putting in smaller shakles it would lolwer it..Mayby i should just leave this fING THing alone!!BlackKnight said:Hey I've got your exact truck and I've gone with the X-metal drop kit, 1.1in for the front and adjustable shackles for the rear. With the QCs, you have to flip the rear leaf springs under the axle and not on top anymore. Blocks won't lower your truck, you will have to use shackles. With the leaf springs under the axle, this will drop your truck roughly 3-5in (diameter of axle and width of the leaf springs at attachment point) and then you bring the rear up from there which is what the shackles will do. Just get shackles for the rear if you don't want to touch the front height, PM or call Gary at X-metal and he will tell you whats up. Hope this helped
Ok BK thanks.. then Ill wait for you when your done to give me the scoop.BlackKnight said:With the kit I got from Gary at X-Metal, it comes with new front springs; there's ones for a 1.1in or a 2.2in. drop. Check out RockinRonnie's truck, he's also got a QC Night Runner with a 2/4 drop but he added helper airbags in the rear for when he tows. It's really not that big of a job (so I've heard) and I'm hoping to put my kit on next weekend and try to get it listed in the DIY section for all the QC guys. I've heard the handling and ride is better and it will definitely improve the overall look of our trucks.
