I least my new ride a 2014 Smart Car from Mercedes-Benz of Westminster,CO and drove it back to South Dakota yesterday. The 415 miles I averaged 36.5 mpg at 70 to 85 mph.

I'm ready to race you guys, but to have to give to a head start.:D

Here's a few pic's of my new ride.

long way to go, was that really the closest to you?? they have one here in town, been thinking about it since my work is talking about moving our truck yard across town 30 miles plus it would involve going through rush hour also. Is the ride pretty hard??

If you are looking at small cars, I recommend checking out the Abarth 500. 165HP 2200lbs. I use mine as my daily driver...it's a fun little car that gets good mileage. I drove it all winter on a set of Blizzaks and had no issues getting around (It snows in Vegas right??:D)

That was the closest dealer, that had what I wanted. The Brabus package has a little stiffer ride because of the low profile tires. The interstate and highways wasn't bad at all. Ran 70 to 85 mph all the way back home.

The was impressed with the performance of the small engine and how smooth and quite it was. You need to test drive one first. 70 to 75 mph for the first 150 miles was 38.1 mpg.

Oh me, I just got a visual of a front tire blow out at 85 mph. Looked like a little gray snow ball rolling down the highway. Be careful bro.

Be careful if someone honks their horn around you, I hear these thinks are kind ‘a skittish...

The safety factor is better than you think on this little car. The cell of the car is built like a formula race car with 6 air bags.

a couple of times since 1998:D

My work car is a Chevy Cruze turbo diesel. I get close to 45mpg on the highway. I however can't believe my office paid that much for that car. It's nice for a work car, but I would never buy one. They bought it to try out. I was in a Toyota Camry Hybrid. I actually sorta liked that one.

Why the Smart though? Im curious as there are bigger cars that get better gas mileage then those do. One of the issues alot of people have is for such a small car its gas mileage does not impress.

I looked at an 300CSRT8 at Westminister Mercedes awhile back. They seemed pretty straightforward to deal with.

congrats:rock::burnout::rock:

there used to be a turbo kit for them:burnout::burnout:

85 is bout top speed.

ran with the Dallas club a couple of times at TMS LFC:rock::rock::rock:
