Ok fellas after many phone calls here is the best deal I can come up with.

From DTS Drive Train Services in Michigan

REAR AXLE

It will have a new dana super 60 housing.

35 spline strange axles, with 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern.

Detroit locker with the machined surface for the ABS ring gear so we can maintain ABS.

Any ring gear ratio you want.(dana corp)

Spring perches welded on as well as shock mounts.

Ford axle end bearings.

Stock width axle.

any size pinion.

Price $2250

BRAKES

Have 3 choices.

Ford SVO, basically a small caliper
$400
Wildwood or aerospace caliper( better piston configuration)
$800

Both systems will allow for park brake and be able to install 15 inch rims.

WARRANTY

1 year manufacture warranty on all parts.

guarantee to fit.

10 year on axles.

Notes
The reason for a dana super 60 is it is available easily as far as housing and parts.
Detroit locker seems to be the best reliable way to go.
Should take about 2-3 weeks to build.
Reason for any pinion is he said he hasnt seen enough of the factory axles to take measurements to tell whether the driveshaft length will have to change or not, but probably not. If so the Driveshaft may have to be shortened or lengthened, but we did not do any measuring over the phone.
We will need to measure also for spring perches and shock mounts.

PRICE

complete axle $2250
Brakes
Ford SVO $400
Upgrade aerospace or wildwood $800

GROUP BUY!************************************************

AXLE $1950
Brakes ford $350
Upgrade wildwood or aerospace $650

HOW MANY PEOPLE?
We need 5 people to confirm a group buy, may go lower with more people.

End result price wise?

complete with ford $2650
compelte with upgrade $3050

WITH GROUP BUY******************************************
KILLER DEAL!!!!

complete with ford $2300
complete with upgrade $2600

What you will get is a rear axle combination where you can run a 15 inch rim if you wish and also have the piece of mind of a reliable axle combination.

Just need to know who may be interested. Basically if we get 5 people interested we can have a stong rear axle configuration with wildwood or aerospace brakes , any ring gear ratio, a locker differential, mounted ready to go for only $2600 or with the lesser ford combination at $2300!
Hard to freakin beat guys

I would be all over that if i could sell one of my dirt bikes. But ill see if i can scrape up some money else where.

Nice Job

Did you check into additional cost for getting the ring and pinion and the Locker cryoed, before assembly ?
What kind of modifications to the E brake cable is going to be required. This will probably depend on the brakes used.

I am very interested in a set up for the Red Truck.

Good Job man.

Does this mean we can go there and have him do the work and drive away after? Or do you mean ready to ship to us to install ourselves?

Roy

It will be ready to ship to us, I can ask guys if they do installs , I think they do, just not sure, they are close to Begood, in Warren Michigan.

Oh and Blake allready has bought a ford 9 inch rear axle for his.

No did not ask about cryo, Which parts would you want cryoed?
the ring gear assembly?

And remember guys we will still have to do a tad of measuring to see if the driveshaft will have to be modified.
Maybe Silverback or Fstjack can find out these measurements?
I will, but am just not sure about which or where to measure from?

I am supposing we can alter each order a tad, such as cryo, ring gear ratio, different brake options, but the basic would be the dana super 60 the axles the locker, the ends so on.

So the questions so far is .....

Do they do installs if so how much

Can we get parts cryoed and how much

and what modifications will be required onthe emergency brake.

We'll give this till tonight, there may be more questions, and I will call him back tommorrow morn.

Another question...do they expect us to give them our old stuff?

Gotcha!

dont forget redramrules also insterested I think

I did mention to him about the quads, and do the lowered quads use a srping perch on top or bottom?

Either way he can do it both ways top or bottom spring perch, which ever is suitable for your needs.

I also need to ask about a rear cover, since the RCs use the shock mount on top

Prof this will be a brand new unit , no core required, which is a good thing, we can either save our old one or sell it and recoupe some of the money back.

Nowwhat and guys I did ask aobut the ford 9 inch also by the way

He said after going to a nodular case the weight savings would be minimal, plus you would be limited to only 35 spline axles,

and in the end it would be more expensive to build the 9 inch over the dana 60, with the bonus the 60 will still look stock under the truck and be much stronger.

Thanks for doing all this Stink......

Which brings up another question

By the way its Drive train specialist, LOLOL the guy busted me about 12 times for some reason I want to call them services:dontknow: :D

check out the link , it has some other places also , but this gives some great pics.

.

I would be interested but I have to figure out my tranny issues first when I have a chance the truck has to go see Dr. DC P.
Thanks for doing the research Stinker.
Mas

Stinker, I have a feeling the QCs and RCs may be two someone different installs, due to the driveshaft and Dana 60 (spring mounts) vs 70/80. Also, for those who have lowered the vehicle.

So it's a complete new rear end? Any gear ratio?
