Phugger. You had no problem approving my Paxton purchase. "Hell Yeah Bud, That's a Great Deal!!" it went something along those lines. You realize, that you are partly responsible if I blow my shit up?:D :D

Gonna have to research that....
I can't believe that with all the nitrous people all over the web i having such a bitch of a time getting info :dontknow:

Well if you dont even know what you have in your kit i really think you should be paying a pro for in stall...

Serioulsy though perhaps investing in $25 dollar book about nitrous, systems

and how it works is not a bad idea. You need to know the basics on the stuff

first.

secondly, their is info out there you just need to go read it.

Go to the Jmbperformance.com and read up on it..On the main page click on

the picture that shows the nitrous set up. It will tell about all the

components needed for complete, "Safe", set up.

I know nitrous is considered the Less expensive hp mod but it still takes some

money to get it to work right and safely.

Damn buddy easy there...sound annoyed in that post....:p

I do know about nitrous, if not I would have never considered getting it...:D
Where my dilemma is coming in is that the kit is off the SRT-8 and is capable of working on the SRT-10 but I just need to get the minor details figured out, that aren't so generalized and all over the web...Like nozzle sizes, wiring specifiec to the SRT-8 as opposed to the 10, throttle sensor for activation...
besides that I can mock it up, mount it, and get most things done, I just want to be sure what is being done is correct for this engine so it doesn't go boom! It's the little things that count as I can see the big picture :marchmellow:

nah not annoyed:p just put in big letters so all the folks who read this thread looking for answers know where to go.:congrats:

Most of the nx setups i seen on our trucks have used the dual nozzle set up tapped into the manifolds. your set up only has 1 nozzle. IT will still work but since its like that i would probably then just stick that in the intake tube.

As far as the wiring you can do it one of 2 ways.

the electric or the mechanical way..

Mechanical way will activate soely of the micro swithc when it hit wot. Just hope that you never red line, miss a shift, or activate too early and you are good this way.

The electric way is what costs $$$ but it activates it for you at the right time during the corrrect rpm range and shuts it off for you.

Thanks man I appreciate the info...after all It would be nice to make this an informative help all thread, so the big letters work....

I just got off the phone with NX and they said if he was using in a SRT-8 then the system is pretty much ready to go for the truck too...

The nozzles are basically the same since the car uses 55 psi and it will work just fine for the truck too...

Supposedly our fuel rails and a threaded port you can tap right into also, and he said all the wiring and relays are pretty much the same...

I plan on tapping into my intake arm, just so I'm not drilling any holes into my intake manifold..

The system already has a TPS module so he recommended I buy a window switch which will monitor the RPM's automatically, I guess like what you are saying:rock:

So since pretty much everything is here I just need a window switch and I will attempt the install this weekend:rock:

By the way do you have any recommendations on the plugs to buy when using nitrous :dontknow:

jmb has em for cheap;)

he also has the window switch...I checked prices and hes right on par with all the other folks.

Not to mention when you buy from our vtcoa vendors you also get tons of tech help;)

I just got off the phone with him earlier and purchased all this stuff

I'm down for going up there. Set it up and let me know what time.

My controller lets me chose what gear I want to start spraying. Not sure if they are all this way, but I lockout low gear to prevent more wheel spin.
