Want striping to make it look even faster :D . Not sure yet which direction I want to go when you consider the fact there's a huge price difference between vinyl via a professional company or painted by a paint shop.
For those having one of them, what's your experience? For all the others, pls vote and let me have your opinion.

that's my first idea, look awesome (especially in the metal paint I had in mind) and lasts forever. But expensive paint, a lot of labour involved.
cost +/- 4000 euro.

Vinyl can be removed in case I don'l like it anymore or if I sell the truck (will only happen over my dead body:D ). No prices in yet. but I guess 1/4 of painted roundabout.

I was actually entertaining the idea of stripes on mine...Silver truck
black stripes...I think stripes add a little attitude...There are some
professional companys that install vinyl that looks pretty good...Be
careful, you get what you pay for...This thread will be interesting...

I'm getting stripes painted on my before Spring. Vinyl might look OK but I've got a good bodyman who will do it without robbing me blind so I'm gonna get it done next month.

paint it. i did vinyl on the hood and it looked ok. faded after a year. i went to paint and i love it. worth the every cent!!!

I'd go for painting them. If you put on vinyl and leave it on, then take them off you might have some paint fading that might not look so good.

Unless Euros are about the same as Pesos that sounds very high. Shop around.

It's about 5800 usd these days. Guy told me the paint itself (one liter) would be arround 1400 usd.

Wow that's alot of money for 2 stripes Jan.
They painted the cowl hood and bedcover of my indyram in the factory blue colour with 2 white racingstripes on it and finished it with a clear coat..
They asked 900 euro for it and it was a kickass paintjob...
(Was gewoon bij een officieel focwa autoschade herstel bedrijf)
Please ask by another paintshops so you can compare their prices.

Mine are painted, would not have it any other way.

The gate, wing and hood all removed. The top and the other items also all re-cleared.

Given my space issue in my garage I had to have it done. Cost me just over $1800 at a hot rod shop. (forgot to mention also had the bumper pulled off and refinished).

Believe it or not paint color does affect cost. Red is the most expensive color to mix, black, well the cheapest.

that's right, Paint shop would need black primer for the ones I want. Luckely that's the color of my truck...

I have a black RC and put flat back CE vinyl stripes on mine for around 300 bucks. they are gauranteed not to fade for 8 years. I have been doing this for years with no issues. It was done by a professional vinyl installer who does hundreds of circle track cars and business's here locally

got mine painted on, about $2500 usd, but it was done in a high cost of living area, so everything there was more expensive. Ditto what others have said about waxing, durability etc.....

Do it once, do it right - PAINT IT. Worst case scenario is it can be removed just costs more to blow over and bring it back to spec. Myself, I'm not a fan of stripes, than look OK but scream attention, though, these trucks don't exactly hide on the roads lol. I just prefer clean & "classy" mods (hidden) and stock appearing.
