No not me... The truck... :D

I notice now that I got my double wall tips all cleaned up... holy SH!T do they get carbon crusted fast!!! Like Diesel truck fast! Is this the norm, or do you guys thing my truck might be running rich? I am debating a wideband... Its on the list for one of my 1st mods just cause I think everyone who gives a damn what their motor is doing should have one... but I dont have it yet so Im not sure...

Never see smoke or anything, but I bet they can go from Chrome to black in about 20 miles... :dontknow:

wow, thats fast. i have HFC and my tips stay clean and shiny for at least a couple hundred miles. dont pay that close attention cus i dont drive it much, buti would say that is fast for ur truck to make the tips black in 20 miles. and good thinking on the wideband:rock:

My truck is "PIG RICH" because its got wiring issues so its in limp mode and YES my chrome tips go black after idleing for a bit haha

My stock stune is around 12.5 but my 91 performance tune is at 11.7. I contacted torrie and he said he can re-adjust it but its best to wait until i get my catless mids welded in. But yea, a wideband is a must, especially if you start messing around with the tune.

I agree, i am thinking about getting a widebnd and pillar to get my tune dialed in, even before i sell to have peice of mind

Mine is bone stock and I notice the tips getting black after 15 or 20 miles.

Mine used to get black in no time. Since the cam swap they stay clean.:)

Sounds like its time for a wideband and get this sucker lean n mean....

Mine is stock, and my tips get black really quick too... Would like to take it to a dyno to see how the a/f and power is doing.

if changing the tune down the road, i also recommend a aeroforce interceptor gauge. It allows you to monitor IAT's, EGT, Knock Retard, AFR's and other things if you get attachments...im getting one soon with the nitrous pressure sensor so i dont have to look at the bottle gauge to see what im at.

Always wondered if they were all they were cracked up to be... seems like a nice piece..

They are a good thing to have, gives you alot of info you should be keeping an eye on while tuning and racing. They are also good for normal driving, if something goes wrong in the truck 9 times out of 10, one of the sensors on the gauge will notice it.
