crankcase breather

If you don't mind what is the crankcase breather for? Is it something the v-10 needs? thanks. I am not a red kind of guy either but I love the inferno red.

I was told that it decreases the pressure in the motor on that side. I was told that I will need one or something like) on the other side as one side (passenger) will have pressure from the S/C and the other will not. I am not a techie..That's the best I can explain it.... Guys chime in here please.
