:)I finally broke down and managed to grind down a wrench and pulled the Manifold so as to change the coils to "Screaming Demons" :D.(Had to modify the connector to fit the 6 pack). Routed and marked the plug wires ,(no sense checking firing order as i was diligent and meticulous with my marking) .. Changed the injectors to 69# while the manifold was off.( they are 1" taller than OEM. I had to make some spacers with longer bolts to mount the rails). Had to modify the throttle cable mounting bracket to clear the fuel rail now that they are so high. Fired it up and ....... RAN LIKE CRAP!!!! with an constant backfire!!!.....hmmm....... crossed a couple wires!! I sat on the floor all curled up in a ball weeping ...Then i had a light bulb light up the garage! ..... I decided to run the truck until the headers got good and hot! i then shut it off and grabbed the squirt bottle of WINDEX... shot some at each header tube and found # 5 and #7 would stay wet!!! the others sizzled. ......Switched those 2 wires around and fired it up!....... MUSIC!! Ran pretty good. Just a short jaunt up the street with the laptop to scale the injectors and the beast purr's like a very large cat!!! 12.5 A/F right through from 2500 - 6000 rpm in 3rd.

What are you doing in here typing..... You should still be out DRIVING!!!!

Guess you havn't had to remove the intake? :dontknow: .......... It was a good idea at the time! :burnout:

Sure I have, 1/4 drive T27(I think) on some 1/4 extensions will fit thru the top of the intake. Wrap some electrical tape around the joints so you don't drop it under the intake.

I actually slip an 11mm through the side if intake on pen magnet and feed ratchet/extension through top. Voila :burnout:
Whatever work though is what matters. What are you using to scale injectors?

I put the same coils in my truck a few weeks ago. Didn't really notice any difference.

First time removing the intake was a PITA. Now its fast.

Vec II with the upgrade to Vec III. We are ,somewhat, tuner limited here. I purchased it cheap from a member sometime ago.

I am gonna change my poly bushings back to OEM. My poly bushings are beat and sloppy ! don't think i have 8000 miles on them! the roads are rough here. I get clunking and darting in the lane grooves Bad!! got lots to do this winter! gonna be a fun!

Clever idea with the Windex, I would be about 8 beers in now and looking for the For Sale sign...lol

Not the first person I've seen complain about that

Yes my own. not pretty but they will work. 5 psi boost for a start. Not much of a toy if you're not playing with it!! work in progress......

Hey guys.... what are you all using to perform the quick release on the supply for the fuel rails? I did it once, it was a PITA.

Thanks!

A metal fuel line remover tool. Comes with 4 sizes I believe. Right tool makes life easier. :burnout:

The two piece ones are made for late model Chevys, I like them because they're a little easier to get in tight spots.

Nice I've wondered if I could just flip my bassani's around and use them as manifolds. Gonna stick with the VEC for tuning the turbos?
