i think we should just continue to converse about the differences about the paxton vs. roe...and get away from all the s*** that's been posted...

I agree!

I dont spend much time at the track. Only had the truck for just over a year, and havent had it to a track yet. I am planning on going to a couple places this summer if time and work allow.

I like the idea of having a mountain of bottom-end torque on the street. Plus I agree with TNVIPER, I like the roe a little better as far as looks go... And i kinda had my mind made up that was what I wanted BUT
The paxton is still very tempting because its gonna be alot less expensive than a roe.

I hate these decisions :hmmmm2:

somebody post some flyby's with a roe...it's eerie cool....:D

but you don't get the BOV sound without turbos either;)

correct me if i'm wrong paxton guys...but i don't think you have a BOV that's like a turbo, right...

and i know that chubby's truck sounded like a 747 rolling to a stop....that was pretty cool...

mods: sorry, i forgot this was not in offensive....sorry for the cleanup on aisle 9:D

We have a bypass valve and yes it sounds very similar to a BOV.
I chose the Paxton because it's nowhere near as hard on a stock motor as the ROE. And there are several guys on here with Paxton's and stock motor. Not very many ROE guys with stock motors. I agree with the ROE having tire ripping low end torque. But, on the street, it's worthless. As it is right now, first gear is pretty much worthless in my truck with the the Paxton. The best way that I could describe the Paxton, it's like having a progressive 150 rwhp nitrous shot without the hassle of a bottle. Driving around town you're not under any boost. Stomp on it and the boost comes on progressively until you get into the higher RPM's. Now, if I had a built motor, I would probably have gone with a ROE. And for me, 590 rwhp nd 582 rwtq (with a very conservative tune), is plenty. I have no use for anymore.

lets not forget the force of the boost pushing you into the seat around 4500-5000 rpms:rock:

PM sent!!

I am thinking that based on you guys suggestions, the smart thing to do would be to go with a paxton setup for now, then later (when I have some more money saved up), do a motor build and get a roe.
Does that sound logical?

I want to build the motor at some point anyway, but not right now. And since the paxton isnt as hard on the engine as the roe, I think this may be the best way to go?

If I can put out similar numbers as santeen, I am sure that would scratch my itch for more horsepower until I have the ability to do a build lol

PS: thank you to santeen, flchub, and viperhauler. You guys answered alot of the questions I had rolling around in my head....

If it was me I would forge the engine later and add more boost and maybe some nos why sell the paxton and buy a roe:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: .
The all time 1/4 mile record for now has a paxton and nos

Yup. Build the motor later, keep the Paxton and upgrade the Paxton pulley to a 10lb pulley. I'm sure Chubs will include his bigger pulley, if you buy his Paxton.
