I keep telling myself, wait until winter, install in Feb/Mar, but I can not wait much longer.

I am going to call Roe tomorrow to discuss what I am looking for and availability but....

For those that have done it, what else did you do? The kit comes with the SC, plugs, injectors and VEC3, at least the one that I am going with does. I will also get the crank breather, 172 stat and meth injection. Did you use the plugs or go with something different? Anyone replace ignition wires? If so what wires and any pics (I like looks as much as performance). Anyone get a boost gauge, can you even hook that up to the Roe? I would be looking for a boost gauge that would go in a 3 port pillar and matches my SRT oil temp gauge. Lets hear it all!!!

I will be doing the install myself, I hear it is not that bad of a job.

Well I don't have a roe but i would say replace your plug wires while you have the intake manifold off for sure. Boomer sells a kit and a lot of guys used MSD's.

I know a boost guage can be hooked up to the roe cause NBT has one.....I'm sure they'll chime in soon enough.

I'm jealouse! Good luck and go run that thing!

i called justin and got the 3 guage pillar steve austin had one for sale the other day i think. also got the guages from justin too. pm him and he can tell ya. i went ahead and put in hardened push rods while i had it down and msd wires or you can go with boomers wires, i got the pushrods from him. i put his valve covers on so in the future if i want to go with different rocker arms i wont need the spacers. make sure and get the meth injection too while your at it.

Mine Roe twin screw is in the process of being installed by my dealer...should be ready tomorrow and i will do a thread with pictures in the next couple of days...:)

The kit comes with everything you have mentioned..less Meth Kit and gauges
I have the exact same setup. I gave it out to a High performance Dodge Dealer for the install. I could have put it together myself but if something would have went wrong I wouldn'thave had the equipment or the experience needed to diagnose the problem. There is also virtually no tuning to be done since it comes with pre=programed tuning cards which you just swipe amd thats that!

Good luck

Steve

Highly recommend that the Vec III box and card reader be installed in the cab. It will cost a little more for the harness but if you drive in the rain keeping those components dry will avoid lots of problems. When you talk to Dave at Roe have him go through the list...think about each item then just say yes to all of it.

Re: ignition wires...for sure put new ones on. Once the SC is in place, replacing the ignition wires requires removal of the SC...not a huge deal but an additional hour of work.

Meth injection is of course required.

Ask for a "No Start" card too. It is just an additional security item that I feel really adds to the security of the vehicle if you ever get in a situation where you are nervous about someone trying to steal your truck...

You will love the Roe TMTS.

Whooop, Whooooooop, Whoooooooooooop!

This was something I wondered today....just looked like it should be kept dry...too late now but I will get the harness ordered tomorrow to move it to the cab...thanks..:)

I'm confused. Steve Austin sold me the 3 guage pillar and I paid for it on Aug 31,2007.:dontknow:

Just crossed my mind....what is the button for on the meth controller...nothing in the instructions about it...:dontknow:

:D There's no button as the Meth is injected as per VECIII programming. There is a light that tells you when the Meth is being injected but i found no use for it and just tied it off under the dash..... the light is not a fail safe... it only works off the VECIII, so if you are out of Meth (Washer Fluid), or if the pump isn't working the light will still come on.. So i see no need to drill a hole in my dash. :)

It's recommened to get Meth, MSD Wires (or Boomers), Bosch Plugs that Roe stocks, VECIII (no question here), Stage II PCM, and exhaust with high flow cats (or no cats). Headers are up to you. ;)

As for the boost gauge again i see no use for it personally. Until you boost the charger more then the stock 5.5 lbs i don't see a justification for it... unless you like looking at a fancy gauge. :) When i put a smaller pull on my Roe this Winter i will be adding a boost gauge so i know exactly what levels of boost i'll be putting out.

my bad bro didnt know you got it...lol congrats
and the button is on the little black box under the hood, its to prime the line before you hook it to the nozzle should be in the directions.

I beg to differ with Diebs...there is a meth button as you have discovered...but Diebs is correct that the Vec controls the meth in normal operation...but to make the system easy to install, trouble shoot and test there is a button that cylces the pump see picture below:

I also think that Diebs is wrong in not inserting the Green LED that operates when the meth pump is activated...recently I experienced a slight decline in performance and part of the diagnostic process was noticing that the led operated sporadically under acceleration...that led me directly to the possibility that the VEC got wet in a frog strangling rain...so IMHO the green LED is a critical indicator...see picture of where Sean located it for me:

Different strokes for different self abusers...I do agree with his view on a boost gauge.

same place i installed mine. looks killer prof what about ken and bone. they had a little trouble with there vec extensions. had to have it fixed. mine is under the hood i just cover it when it rains or when i wash it. working on a box for it.

You will have to change your wires....Dan @ dcperformance changed mine under warranty!
Chris Jensen the "tuner" put my little green lite next to the Air/Fuel gauge. The gauge on the left is a Boost-Gauge.

Eddie, please let me know what you come up with...I have been straining my brain over this issue...best I can come up with is a ziplock!

thats currently what i use with a rubber band. trying to get a lexan box made and have a sneaky pete logo etched into it that will just screw into fender well or i may fix it to where ill have bolts with wingnuts so it can be removed easily. just something to keep moisture off of it.when i get it done ill have two made and get one to ya.

:) I'm a minimalist, the less clutter the better! I was never excited to have someone drill into my dash or add a 3 Arm Pillar....

As for the button on the meth it's only really there to purge the system and troubleshoot, after that :dontknow: That's why i never said much about it.. :)

Nothing wrong with being a minimalist...my preference too. I would really like just put it in move it around a little and be done with it...all the other stuff is just bells and whistles in my opinion.

They didn't all come with the test button, I do not have one! Sean said that it still can be checked by grounding the system. I just check my resevoir, it is obvious its working by the drop in fluids, especially since I never use my windshield wipers!!:D :p probably wouldn't be real hard for someone with expertise to install a button to ground the system!!
