well as many of you know....my RC took a dump a while back.. well DC took a look at it and came to the conclusion that a rod got spun. reason.....i OVER REVED the engine and i was racing it.. are they kidding me... its got a rev limiter. and i never shift over 5600 rpm. i brought the car in and there was no oil pressure. they didnt even mention a reason for the no oil psi. Question??? can a spun rod cause my engine to have no oil pressure??? i dont think so....but im not an expert. im going to go higher up in the food chain and fight it. anyone have any advise for me.

A spun rod bearing can give you LOW oil pressure but I haven't seen one with NO oil pressure.

I'll have to second that.. it's exactly what i'm having a problem with right now and i still have oil pressure when i started it.

As for them not performing warranty that's utter BS... i know the owner of the dealership i bought mine from and i almost got mine fixed!! I was honest and informed them of all i had done, it was the methanol injection that closed my claim completly. Oh well i wasn't expecting it anyways. :)

This is the stuff that scares me. But my being a bit over 34k miles makes me wonder if I should just drive her easy and pay through the nose later for repairs... OR, should I give DC more of my money just so they can try to deny my claim in the future because I have too many coats of wax on her or some BS like that. Back on subject...

I had a strong feeling DC was going to screw Josh (FL505) over behind this. I hope you didn't take it to Spring Dodge dude. They are real asses regarding warranties.

Take it to West Oaks Dodge. I can't say enough good things about that dealership. Robert (MoparConnection) used to work there. Jeff Hightower is now the man there to deal with. Their phone # is 805 371-4900 ext 249. Maybe MoparConnection will chime in on this.

seriously... send me that info... i will get to the bottom of it. brad has his truck in the shop now... doing multiple repairs..(under warranty)

Hopefully Robert has the magic bullett..... if anyone does......

My heartbreak with warranty isses and DC is well documented....

If yer going to court, bring lotsa cash........

Buona fortuna...... dominus vobiscum....

you can say that again.. i actually had to fight DC back in 04 with my 2500 HD HEMI.. I won due to an issue that the truck pulled right... but there was a law suit way back in the 90's with a guy that owned a Viper and raced it, blew his motor and DC did not want to cover it... well needless to say to court ruled against DC because this vehicle was built to race.. let me make some calls... but I NEED THE VIN

The owners manual has a schedule for maintenance if you race. Don't put it in the owners manual if you don't want me doing it.
