Started out as a Navy Nuke Machinist Mate student until they realized I was Math Illiterate. Then did Security Stint in Newfoundland Canada, USS MT Whitney, got out, went to college and did the Reserve thing, cross rate to Sea Bee Builder and then got a commision and am now a Surface Warfare Officer (I drive the ships with the BIG Guns )

While I was active duty I was a Aviation Electrician. I did 2 Med cruises on the GW (George Washington). My duty stations were NAS Oceana (VA) and NS Mayport.

When I came back into the reserves I was a IT person.

Loved my time while I was in the Navy. Now it is family time

Thanks to all who served before me, along side of me, and continue to serve!

When I came back into the reserves I was a IT person.

Loved my time while I was in the Navy. Now it is family time

Tell him you support him and that you have faith that he will make a fine Marine and will make you proud. And tell him to really think about EXACTLY what he wants to do and to pick a good MOS.

Nope... I was on her maiden voyage in 1994 and then in 1996. Favorite memory of these cruises was going through the Suez Canal. It was truly amazing how they can get this big of a ship through that canal! :rock:

I did 2 med cruises on the GW myself!:rock::rock::rock:

2000 Med Cruise and 2002 Med Cruise...also spent some time in New York Harbor on the GW as well....did it with HS-15!
