Wanna See Those Blackouts!!

just a can of general black paint from advanced auto after sanding the hell out of it to get the paint to adhere followed by 3-4 coats of clear coat to help give it a bit more protection :) although now i am debating having eddie over the winter do the carbon fiber look on it instead. not sure yet though lol

Exterior, Interior, Engine Bay, Underneath, Front & Back = BLACK
(ps: there is now a black electronic rear plate hiding device so the rear is now completely black).

Cheers,
Carlwalski

Three words describe Carls Batram!
" W O W !!!" and " HATS OFF!!":rock::rock::rock:

yeah, i was gunna post pics of mine, but there is nothing on it to compare to carls. his truck vids on you tube is what set me out to get a NR to begin with. i have gone through all of carls threads and the amount of detail he put into his build is insane, uterly insane.

As someone alredy said aftr carls pics, "END THREAD", dont get any bette than his truck, IMHO

Thanks! They were kind of a PITA but I love em!

never again...NEVER again;)

When i removed my badges in 08, from my 05. The paint underneath was faded. Rubbing compounded, polished, and waxed made no difference. It was noticable from 10 feet away cloudy or sunny. Might not be as bad on a truck that was garage kept.

it's the rest of the truck that's faded... under the badges is the original paint color... red is the worst color to fade... my hood looks like the word VIPER is airbrushed...but it's not;) i left the letters off and cleared over it...just put the powered emblem underneath back on... it stands out that much;)

prove it!!! my buddy had a bid chevy bowtie on the back glass of his camaro for years, when he took it off the tint under the bowtie was darker than the lightened rest of the window. looked like it was ment that way and was cool in a subtle way. lets see yours

Shucks guys, thanks!! I've heard that just a few times before but despite that, winning the TOTY, getting in mags and representing this place hard in my videos and by word of mouth, it still wasn't "good enough" to get on this sites banner Hahahahahahahaha!!! Go figure. Even though they put the same trucks on it 2 or 3 times, but all good LOL. ;)

Thanks again for the kind words, means alot but everyone should post theres, some might like less black, some may like more colour, all these trucks kick ass and that's what makes everyone on this forum and owners everywhere, unique. I'm really liking the "new age" mixture of bright colours with black out in them aye, like the reds etc. Looks sinister and different. Anyone who knows me knows I HATE chrome so when I see stuff like that, it makes me feel all warm inside hahahahahaha. Keep up the great work lads!!! Few more of mine while I'm here, lets get this thread cranking!!

I'm loving the burnout pics guys. I don't know how to do it, so I'm very envious of it. My fiance (ex-drag racer) says he will show me, but I haven't found a spot that I could do it. Plus, I kinda fear I might flip my truck like those idiots on youtube, lol.

Buy yourself a Line Loc and you can do stand still burnouts alllllll day hahahaha

My wifey did one in my truck the other day. She was smiles ear to ear

the key is let off if you're scared...don't be a fool:D

Ehhh, sometimes that works, but more often when traction is regained the truck shoots in an unwanted direction.
The proper key to a controlled burnout is all in the steering wheel and the gas pedal. Counteracting the spin or drift from the positraction rear end. Or for Jhazephae we take out her crossbars in the rear and make it a single tire burnout that should last 3 blocks with our motors.;):burnout:
