Dude, small world! I am having that same debate with myself.

The price on the 300C is what has my attention.

The Jeep seems to be holding its value pretty well right now, not too much of a loss.

If I was you with that avatar as my girlfriend I would invest in a GC. Read my above post to make sense of this reply.

The 300SRT8 is really fragile at the lower front fascia (plastic). The entire bottom of the car seems to be plastic panels. At the same time it’s really low to the ground so if you mistakenly park too close to a semi high curb or over one of those curb blocks you can cause yourself an expensive fix. Also, the 300CSRT isn't as much of eye candy as the GC.

On the flip side its performance is incredible. It can be surprisingly mild mannered (great and comfortable for daily driving) and looks sharp, especially at night with it's HIDs.. Then, when the throttle is mashed it wakes up turning what seems to be an everyday luxury car into American muscle performance; accelerating with the grace and majesty of a Boeing 747. The only "at-a-glance" giveaway is the subtle SRT-8 badge on the rear (unlike the other 8's that all look fast and mean). But to the untrained eye it's a typical harmless sedan with a slick demeanor. It's lighter than the others and, though the GC will take it at the line with the 4WD, the 300 will catch the GC and leave it behind. The 300CSRT is the ultimate sleeper IMO.

300C SRT8 although the Grand Cherokee is close second. I don't dislike either, it's like picking which burger to eat when you're drunk: egg or cheese, both are good. My parents have owned their SRT8 for around 16 months and they love it to bits. The 6.1L Hemi has a real nice tone to it, a real Hemi "mechanical" sound. Gets up and moves to which is surprising considering it's size. Nice to drive and the looks are either love or hate, I like them. :) Because you guys are like me, and love eye candy, here are some photos I took of my parents 300C SRT8 last year.

I would recommend the GC a friend has one and I have driven it many times:) . It can drive easy as a DD or you can drive it like you stole it.
It is easier to drive than the 10 but their is something to be said for a 6 speed.
His dad has the 300 and it is also great just not as cool.
I think no matter what you choose you will be happy. Go drive both like you stole it and pick one.

The 300C I found is an '06 with 8700 miles on the clock. It is gray, sunroof, nav, rear parking sensors, rear dvd and the kicker audio upgrade.

This is hard to pass up.

As far she goes, she has a 7 year old and I have an 11 year old. I am so conflicted.

Thanks for the pictures Carl. Your parents' SRT looks just like mine (except for the RHD of course). I miss mine and it almost feels like you brought her to Norway for me. Thanks again.:D

i also have a very good friend who owns 1.. Bone stock he ran a 12.7 in the 1/4 with his tune and other misc mods he can light up all 4 tires and still have the kids in the abck seat! So i'm all in for the GC but it comes down to GC- if you have kids or are going to have kids, or just want you an your ol lady beat that Trans Am From the light to the turn in at the mall right up the street... idk i'm very impressed with the GC

I got to beat both cars at two SRT experiances. The SRT300 is nice but everyone and thier mother owns a 300. The SRT 300 will get the jeep on the roll but other than that the jeep will kill it off the line. Bad enough that the 300 will not be able to catch it at the end of the 1/4 mile. I would pick the Jeep.

Guess it comes down to looks too. A fast 4x4 is a fast 4x4. It is and always will be just that, it doesn't exactly (to most) scream performance albeit it has performance looks (for an SUV). Turning heads, performance car image and strong road presence is heavily in favour of the 300C SRT8. Once you sort on the traction issues the 300C SRT8 is the heavyweight champ. It's the same as sorting out a factory correct 70 Challenger or muscle car with poly grade tires, put better tires on and adjust suspension and it's a totally different car. Get both.

I say that you get a Challenger with me and stop wasting your time on those slow as cars and get something you will make people snap there head to look, not a family car
