Spark Plug Electrode Magic
Spark plug manufacturers tout the advantages of their unique electrode designs, but regardless of the design, the purpose is to make it as easy as possible for the plug to fire reliably. A spark jumps more easily from a sharp edge than a rounded blunt edge. So the more sharp edges it has to jump to, the better the odds of the plug firing under all types of driving conditions. The electrodes on some spark plugs are also designed to "unshroud" the spark so more of the spark will be exposed to the air/fuel mixture. This improves the propagation of the flame kernel once the fire is lit.

This is the claim of E3 based on their electrode design. I will test it out and see.

Kewl, I'm interested on if they make much of a difference, they look like they should work really good,I'm not looking for a big HP gain, just a good clean reliable burn.

That doesn't sound like a good deal,it would have to make atleast 50rwhp gain!:burnout: :p

i used ngk's on my last truck. the one i got now looks like it still has the ones from the factory, wires too and it runs fine with 84k miles on the clock. im scared to change them in fear it might not run again.

Hehe, fear not my friend, im sure it will run fine with new plugs and wires:D

e3s

Was wondering how tony felt about the e3 spark plugs he was testing out..:dontknow:  :p :bath:

I decided to kick the Pulstar idea and install the NGK Iridiums. Honestly, #1900 runs better with these plugs. Of course, new wires and other installed goodies helped too but I do like the NGKs.

I have had the E3's in for about a month now. I haven't driven the truck much, but the few times I have it seems to start easier (not that it was hard to start before) and it definitely idles smoother. It seems to run a little better as in throttle response. However, I need more time before I make a overall judgement. So far they are better than the stock Crapions.

I have had E3's in the wife's SRT-4 for almost a year. They did make a difference in that car. There was a short stumble between 2-3rd shifts that is now gone.
