This truck is by far the coolest vehicle I have owned in 30+ years of driving, I could not IMAGINE driving anything else, and I don't care about the little issues at all. I don't give a shit that it sucks gas.

Those who sell for reasons other than hardship are QUITTERS AND WHINERS... "oh, its not a sports car and its not a truck, and the seat makes my tushy hurt, and the people don't drool at it as much as I wanted them to, and it don't sound pretty, wah, wah, waaaah, mommy..."

Nothing else on the road interests me, the time period while I own this truck will be the pinnacle of my driving life and I intend to hang on to it as long as possible. I'ts all downhill from this.

Mine has to go for the following reasons:

1. It isn't useful as a truck because of the bed cover

2. It isn't capable like a sports car since it weighs almost 6k lbs but it beats you up like a sports car

3. It isn't comfortable for cruising (the seats are really uncomfortable)

4. The interior is cheap plastic

5. The wheel wells are the size of the grand canyon and the thing is harder to get in than a 4x4 and lowering it (06 QC) more than 2 inches is impossible without air bagging it.

6. The gas mileage sucks

7. The exhaust sounds horrible and doesn't get much better with aftermarket exhaust unless you make the cabin sound like the inside of a jet engine.

8. These trucks will not go up in value for at least 30 years.

9. These trucks do not get much attention by passers by compared to even a corvette. Yeah yeah, I know, the kid with an STI or a mustang always notices your truck. Big f'in deal.

So to sum it up; it isn't capable as a truck, a sports car, a luxury vehicle, an economy car, or anything else I can think of. It's a big old brick that gets 8mpg. My only question is what the hell was I thinking when I bought this thing? I needed a truck and wanted a sports car. I got neither one. The one good thing that came from the truck; I found this forum.

Sorry to piss on your parade.

You sum it up exactly right about the QC.
Did I post this somewhere and you copied it?
That is why my overweight, SLOW, Goofy sounding, P.O.S. QC has been gone for 3 or 4 months now.

The RC seems to have possibilities so you puckers that don't own a QC don't have a clue about how different they are.

You damn right I still have the Corvette.
25mpg and would run circles around that wanna be KW with the Viper motor in it.

Within 30 years nobody but 3rd world countries will be using gasoline to power their vehicles so that leaves us out unless we are one of those countries. (you know the economic crash that would result from not being able to get enough oil) So that big collector payday is just not gonna happen folks.

It's all BS, as soon as people stop profiting from the "global warming" the talk of gas going away with stop.

high 12's in a 6,000 lb truck that huals ass and stuff is killer. And it's a totaly different feel than a lightwieght car.

It's just different. Not for some but a shot of viagra for others.

My daughter just asked me why I pay $90+ to fill up the Srt10 to just go 180 miles. I looked at her and smiled and said that's why.:D :D My son understands fully and wants the truck already. He's getting excellent grades in school to support the habit.

*EXACTLY* The "smile" is what it is all about. :burnout: :burnout:

If I had less than $30,000 to spend and I was considering a used vehicle purchase right now, I don't think you can find a better option than an SRT10. That being said, I can afford $80,000 and you can sure get a nice vehicle for that. If you could buy an $80,000 vehicle, would you still stand by the truck?

Keeping it. I thought about selling to make space for a new challenger, but hell, it's just too damn fun to drive. Construction for the bigger garage starts in April :D ...I'm waiting for the manual option(s) in the challengers anyway.

If I had an 80,000 car, I would sell it, get me a supercharged RC for 30k, and stick a fat wad of cash in my drawer.

Not only because I love the feel of my truck, there is something very cool and unique about driving a truck with a driveline severely doped on steroids.

Oil is not an unlimited resource, look up China and oil consumption and then use your own common sense to draw a conclusion. To think that, because there are going to be other options of making energy in 30 years gasoline cars are going to be obsolete is silly at best. I can't believe more people aren't hassling the guy claiming it doesn't function as a truck because of an after market bed cover. That has to be the stupidest thing I have read on these forums. The only thing worse is using the word "practical" along with these trucks. The days of 600 horsepower cars are literally coming to an end as we speak. These trucks are a one of a kind item and are going to increase in value. I am not saying they are going to become 100,000 vehicles but they will be 30 to 40 thousand dollar vehicles in 10 years and who knows after that.

Hey Bud, See you got a new BLUE Hoss in the stable. NICE! I've had my truck a little over a year and half and plan to keep her. The way I look at it is "It don't make a damn what its worth if you aint never gonna git rid of it!" Momma always said "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder" and I love the way these trucks look!

Glad to see your are still around Don....feel free to come by and help me install headers on the Viper! Even if you dont help just come by and drive this beast!:burnout:

Guys ten years ago electric cars were almost a concept.
Now there's a hybrid on every corner with a tax credit to go with em so please don't delude yourself into thinking nothing will ever change cause it already is and while I don't think we will stop importing oil this year once the panic happens it will change very rapidly if an alternative is out there.

I hope I am wrong as I have no qualms about pollution or driving fast cars trucks and bikes powered with the same methods my grandfather grew up with cause I don't like change either unless it's more Horsepower with less weight:D

Know what you mean about the 6000 lb hot rod not being for everyone.
I sure as hell am one of those people it's definitely not for!

As long as there's a 3500lb alternative.;)

as long as I keep my job, which is kind of iffy with this stinking housing markrt sucking ass now I am keeping this baby.Coming up on two years and NO plans to sell

For the last few months there were so much people selling there trucks...Now that this post is up very good to see so many people KEEPING there trucks...These trucks are truly unique-limited edition-one of truck...Iv'e only had mine since August 07 but love it...

Honestly, its crazy how the oil future's has blown the market for this vehicle wide-open. I couldn't afford one of these vehicles new because i'm still in college, but because of the price of gas the costs associated with these vehicles has gone up the price to purchase one has gone way way down! I expect to see a lot more of these and other high performance vehicles claiming the midwest a haven because of the long winding roads and having no or very lax inspection laws. I am keeping this truck, at least until I make Captain
