Winter project time!

Haven't done it yet, but its on the list. Planning on the calipers, drilled/slotted rotors, and caltracs in the same blue.

So im about 3/4 done with the alternator.
I took a grinder and removed the casting marks, and smoothed out the casing. After that i sanded and buffed until i had a mirror shine.
Still have a few things to do, but it already looks a million times better

It's getting pretty serious under that hood. Makes mine look like the plain jane fat girl.

Now it's to nice to put back on the truck. Throw that paper plate away. Throw the rock in the yard. Then put the alt on that nice wooden pedestal. Last tell the old lady to dust it every 2 weeks. Lol

I decided that the red top battery needed some love, so i picked up some krylon fusion, and duplicolor trans blue metalcast paint.

The fusion paint actually goes on really well, seems to stick pretty good too.
After it dried, i used the duplicolor silver base, and applied the metalcast paint.
Its basically a tinted clear, so you have to be careful with it or you'll get an uneven finish, but its not all that bad.
I like it!

Also picked up a ball milled aluminum battery cover, it's going to go great with my old x-metal radiator cover :)
