The first one!!! Not like the others lol

I can't see it - interesting to see what the "pros"will say! I see tiny white spots on some and carbon crusty stuff on some lol

Which one is the cylinder that let loose ..
Your plugs aren’t indexed with the electrodes pointing in every direction ! It appears one of the plugs electrode tips is adjusted back further .but may just be the pic .. carbon doesn't look bad , it appears the plug have been burning clean and not discolored or worn .. What plugs are you running also what heat range are they ( compared to factory plugs ) ..there is a noticeable difference on the first pic exhaust valve ..
Let’s see what @rottenronnie has to say !

No signs of detonation from the pics.

This is only the 2nd time I've heard of a rod letting go in a Viper engine. The first was in a car with 1500 miles on it and gave up when it was idling!
Poor thing never even made it to it's first oil change.
FAR more common to see damage or devastation from detonation on these engines.
With that being said what other possibilities do you think could have cased the piston to break and the rod ? Maybe defective and finally let loose , stress , over reving ?

Driving upside down on the wrong side for five years!

I have no idea of the history of why this 05 motor is in my truck. I have no idea what has been done before I have owned it. In my time it is 99% putt putt and 1% fun. I have never blown an engine before. This is the first.
I think the upside down thing has merit. I think we are onto something there. I will check the flux capacitor is wired up right

Absolutely since it will change the compression and cause reverse detonation so as to conceal it from the untrained eye!

The next engine will start out with you in this upside down configuration and all will be normal and no problems will occur!

Just gotta find this next engine - crossing fingers a goodun is just around the corner lurking in a shadow! Lol

This could very well help diagnosing what may have happened .

It’s a matter of time ..

What did you feed the flux capacitor just before the water occurrence.. was it high end neighborhood trash or from the local hood neighborhood?

Just looking at some NOS Striker heads. Just waiting for a price and hope no one else gets in there first
Used or new .. deal or no deal ,, local or not ??? Damn I’m full,of questions ! Hahaha !
