Your Opinions On Dec. 21st 2012

The Book of Revelations (for Christians anyways) says there are still more prophecies to be fullilled before the final battles. There is no way the world can end in 2012.

It states there will be a leader who will come out of the New Roman Empire who will arrange a peace accord and build a new Temple on the Temple Mound (next to the Islamic Mosque).

For the first 3 1/2 years, everyone will be happy, healthy and everything will be great.

That person, however, turns out to be the Anti-Christ, because 3 1/2 years after the peace accord is signed, he will sit in the holy of holy's in the new Temple and declare himself God. Then he will make war upon the world

A short time after, lest all man be killed, the Messiah will come, he is the SECOND one to come. The FIRST one is the Imposter - (THE DEVIL, THE ANTI CHRIST).

Furthermore, it also states HE (The Messiah) will come like a thief in the night and no one will know the hour...

This is a reader's digest version, but I do not think the world will end in 2012.

People have been projecting the end of time since the beginning of time, but no one knows the exact time......

That is why I try my best to concentrate on the NOW...... At that very moment just before the future becomes the past. Now...... It is my belief that enjoying a hobby, or an artistic expression of some kind, helps you to concentrate on the now.You are totally focused, not thinking of past or future, only what you are doing right at that very moment, whether it's painting, or playing an instrument, or working on your truck. It helps me find my center, especially when there is plenty of distraction about. :marchmellow:

Stinker (strangely enough....  Way to go, dude! :D ) hit the nail on the head. It's the end of the Mayan and Ancient Chinese calenders.... there is also reference to this date in Egyptian writings (the writing's on the wall..... sorry, couldn't help myself :D )

It's most likely the end of an "age" tho...... More of an astrological event than anything. Also, if you look at a zodiac, you will find that the age of Capricorn ends during this time...... and starts the new "age" of Aquarius. (Side Track- You notice the symbol for Capricorn is a fish?... kinda like that fish people stick on the back of there cars that says "WWJD", but don't really know what the "fish" stands for? ;) Well, the Fish's reign over the stars, according to the Zodiac will end in 2012.)

Lots of interesting "no-one can answer this shit" threads tonight! ..... I love this stuff! :D

I was reading in one of the links that that date is suppose to be very significant in the alignment of the planets. The galactic alignment of the winter solstice sun. So why does the Mayan calendar end on this date? Is there a "To be continued" in the fine print? Or have we not found volume two of the Mayan calendar yet? Inquiring minds want to know.:D

Had to hunt this back up , thought it was interesting, but will rattle your brain:D

Along with exact solar, lunar and Venutian calendars, the Maya had a calendar of 260 days. What exactly was this calendar trying to relate to is unclear. I have proposed that it related to the orbit of an ancient comet. But let’s get above and beyond that to the big picture. In the center of the 260-day calendar called the Tzolkien is 4 glyphs surrounding a fifth glyph representing five 52-day periods (5 X 52 = 260). In Mayan thought the glyphs also expanded out to represent the 5 ages of 5200 years (5 X 5200 = 26000).
Notice that 26000 relates mathematically back to 260. 26000 years just happens to be the period of the earth’s wobble on its axis (precession). In 2012, we are completing that 26000-year cycle (See previous articles). My point here is that not only by coincidence are we also 26000 light years from the galactic center, but our solar system’s time of orbit around the GC is another 260 multiple of approximately 260 million years. This all helps to reinforce the idea that the Mayan 260 day calendar was trying to tell us something on several levels.
It is estimated that about 250 million years ago there was a catastrophe. It is called the Great Dying. 90% of all species on earth were lost rapidly. We came within an eyelash of no more life on earth. This was very close to exactly one galactic orbit and one very grand scale of the Mayan 260 day calendar ago.
One quarter of that length of time of 260 million years and thus relating to one very grand age just happens to be 65 millions years ago, when the dinosaurs were killed off. So it would appear that major catastrophes are scheduled precisely like clockwork. Next up is 2012.

I always say when its your time its your time. But maybe ill start saying when its are time its are time! Hahahah na ill keep saying what i have always said.

Now this I find interesting :stupido2:
