Zero Oilpressure :(

So maybe if i just change the pump and do an oilchange and regain my oil pressure the engine might be fine? If so am i extremly lucky?

thats what i would do first.

be sure to get the up dated oil pump by-pass valve also.

get her runnin again & get some miles on the oil & take an oil sample & see whats goin on inside of her, also:rock:

well, its plenty of oil, its between empty and full! I just had an oil change and now running the best and most expensive 5-30w Mobile oil! There wer a to high tick sound to just be the gauge, i know its not the gauge because of the engine sound :( Some local's maybe thought it could be the oil pump? I find this really strange and it sucks to have such a "random" Problem and it costs shitloads to get fixed 2 here in norway.. i appreciate all answers who can help to find a conclution!

That jumps out at me. Whose Filter did they put on? If the filter is not a "MOPAR" viper filter it may have collapsed and is blocking the oil flow. You might want to check it before tearing into the engine.

Very good point!! Our pumps are gearator design and that being said, they can get an air pocket and cavitate this not pumping oil. Seems something causes that!

I was thinking that way to.

@ Santic

Have look at the oil filter for the filter brand.
Mopar is good.
Bosch P3029 is also good (it gives the same pressure value as Mopar) tested it myself.

Sorry for the Mopar lovers but here in Europe it is good to have easy to get hold on alternatives that work.

Just got an SRT owner in from the south of Belgium. He had a ticking sound and max oil pressure on the dash was 50 psi.
I advised him a Bosch oil filter (to start with)
He changed it and what do you know ! Ticking almost gone and 70 psi oil pressure on the dash.
Hydraulic lifters make a hell of ticking noises when not pressurized or under pressurized.

Im back.. the dodge has been at some garage for 3 months now and they tell me dodge dont make the the part i need anymore or that dodge as backordered it? And some american dude tell me i may need to order the complete timing cover? Is there someone here that sell good pumps complete with everything or have a clue of where i can get this item right here: I got the pump but im in need of this gear.. Oil Pump Rotor Set 03-06 Viper & Ram SRT-10

This is soon going to be an emergency!!! :D

Best Reegards

The valves make noise.. so its not the gauge! Its not the oilfilter.. so? Its the oil pump then?? hehe :) Do anyone have one or can get me one?

You can get through your dodge parts dealer. Our injectors are noisy anyways, are you sure it's not that? Don't hear of many pumps going out. :dontknow: :hmmmm:

Edit: See you've tried and they're backordered? Lemme see what I can do. Yes sometimes the timing cover needs replacing due to clearance of gearotors inside cover.

have you tried the VPoA(Viper Parts of America), hate the folks, but they may have the part you need. Should (can't guarantee) that the part is the same for both the cars and trucks

Oil pumps will ship to priority cust. starting sept 3rd. I know I have had mine on order for a while...

I talked to a guy in Mopar that could send me a pump! He hasnt replied in 4 days. Do anyone know where i can get one?
dodge ram srt-10 2004 mod!

I need it complete since those gears wont follow unless i buy it complete..

Go morgen Santic. What part of Norway are you in? I travel to Norway very often. I am currently working in Stavanger until 26th, September. Norway is a really expensive place to own a SRT-10. I've seen some around; in fact I saw a white CE model a few days ago. Anyway, I just noticed your thread about the oil pressure issue. :dontknow:Have you been able to determine what the cause is?
