whatchu got son?? (RWHP)

naw

JMB CAI & breather, BBK TB, Stinker coil packs, Adams wires, Belanger headers & cat mids, Magnaflow cat back, Torrie hands on tune

sure i'm forgetin something

nice numbers!!!!

2004 RC , never removed the valve covers, so basically stock internals. I have full length headers, custom equal length true dual catless exhaust with an x-pipe, ported intake by Form & Function Performance, BBK throttle body, 170 therm., underdrive pulley, Volant Ram Air, aluminum flywheel, 4.56 gears, Tune by Chris at DC Performance, JTS Venom coils and wires, and SCT race tune. DynaPac numbers at DC Performance....
SCT Race tune 541 rwhp, 572 ft lbs. (50/50 91 octane/ 100 octane)
SCT stock tune 538 rwhp, 568 ft lbs.

The DynaPac is where they remove the rear tires and mount the dyno machines right on your axles. So the numbers are a little higher than regular dyno's. But the truck runs 11.90's and the dyno websites where you put in ET and MPH plus the weight of the vehicle usually say from 534 to 565 HP.

now, i know all these trucks are different but shit, al u have over me is a TB, hands on tune instead of box and coilpacks/wires. that cant be no more than 25-30 HP.....MAX. and u are over 50+ horses over me???

@20k miles...434/457
stock 05RC except for maggie catback.
and you are still 10/10 OVER me....WTF???

and you, iv got, tune and headers w/HFC over you. and you are still 10/10 over me....WTF

is it just me or are those insane numbers for ur mods??? and zero head work???

425hp 465tq stock 05 QC Torrie Tuned. Mods: K&N CAI, True Duals Magna Flow, no rear cats, and Venom Series TB.

The truck has always been really strong, but I have been very thoughtful about balancing the mods so everything works in harmony. Just wait till I can afford my NA dream rebuild with Strikers and 11:1 compression and possibly a Gen II GTS intake. The truck is the quickest NA stock engine in the club, thanks to my lightweight mods. Best ET 11.971, (Famoso 5-13-11) Best speed 118.15 ( Sacramento, Feb 2011)

yeah i was thinkin bout that, you got the in and the out. i know ur times have to do with ur times, but that wont affect HP numbers u put up. thats alot of hp

The first time I was on the DynaPac at DC performance was when we installed the ported intake. At that time I made 502 rwhp. This was prior to installing the BBK and the custom exhaust. My exhaust at that time was full length Mofo Headers, race cats, and Magnaflow exhaust. So with the BBK, and custom catless exhaust ( true dual, equal length, catless, x-pipe, and twin Borla race mufflers) it dynoed 538 rwhp on the 91 octane tune and 541 on the 100/91 mix. This was before the JTS Venom coils and wires. My next trick may be the Carbon Fiber driveshaft from JTS. Stay tuned.:D

that DynaPac is one step from an engine dyno.:rock::rock:

trainman, do ya know if they still figure 20% power loss with the DynaPac chassis dyno:dontknow:

I thought they figure 15-18% on a regular chassis dyno, so I would guess the dynaPac would be less , say 10-12% maybe? I would think the automatics (QC's) would be in the 20% range. An engine dyno would have no drivetrain components and no accessories , on the DynaPac you're still turning all acessories, clutch, flywheel, transmission, rear-end, and axles.

just what i was always taught & usually figured out bout right. that you loose 20% to the dirt

but with the less weight/mass of a tire& wheel & still have the weight & parasitic loss of the vehical the 15-18 would seem to be better for the DynaPac

Hp and torque numbers in my sig. This 06 rc is healthy!

trainman, so u had a full exhaust and P&P intake, and still made 500hp? was ur TH P&P too, or did u go straight from stock to BBK? and then evan after u alredy have an aftermarket, u go to a full custom exshaust and gained 36 more hp. WOW, that is impressive. nice, wanna trade:aetsch:

jontyre, ur right, that is a very healthy 06, do u know ur build date by chance????

No, as stated when I made 502 rwhp with the ported intake, I had full length headers, race cats and a Magnaflow muffler, I also had a stock non-ported throttle body. The gain of 36 hp was with the BBK and custom exhaust (catless) but I still had the same headers. As a side note, in 2004 when the truck was pure stock it made 415 hp and 433 ftlbs on a regular chassis dyno. You can do a search in the Performance section for results with the ported intake and another results with the BBK (before custom exhaust). The ported intake results are at DC performance on the dynaPac (includes video) and the BBK results were at the BBK facility on a regular chassis dyno, but before and after results are reported. The ported intake went on first.

yeah, thats what i meant. messed up on the TB part.

that is still some insane gains for those mods. hell, ur truck was MORE powerfull stock than mine is now. Thats BS, haha
