Viper Truck "Club" of America - Looking for Regional Reps

ya mean like have monthly meetins, dues, food, booze & broads type club????

i would go for one of them stickers with a Fangs theme

and i beg to differ with Scott, most "old farts" don't have a clue bout our beasts. its been the youngsters that know what they are:rock:

I think having a president and a BOD is way down the road. We need to start with some regional leaders that are go getters

and yes, the pay will suck as usual

I have organized VTCOA meets in Texas for years. Some grand, some a lot of no-shows but that's a given with any GTG! Texas is due one about now ;)

With the nola motorsports track open in New Orleans, Maybe we can see if the VCOA and the VTCOA want to do a GTG or maybe in Austin with the circuit of the americas track. If someone can send me the logo there are many sign and decal stores around here so i can get one made.

Most viper owners look down at the ram srt10. (Allmost all the viper guys ive met at shows anyway)....

The PCB get together could be something to advertise to SRT. And has been mentioned, organize more big G2G's would probably be helpful.

Jeff,

I am also a member in a mercedes club. This club is officially registered
at mercedes benz and gives benefit to all members when buying parts at mercedes dealer or other benefits at official mercedes car shows.

Could be an idea to contact the SRT marketing guys directly, maybe
they have a certain budget for such an "official" idea.

This would give this forum and all members a new approach.

On Facebook is a guy called Adam Barrera from drivesrt.com who we contacted to inform him about our european gtg and he was really excited to write an article about it. We just have to feed him with info and pics.

Easy to understand that all of the people adore Ralph Gilles for his job and his position at SRT but if he doesnt know this forum its really sad ! Really sorry as this place is not hard to find.....:dontknow:

Adam has messaged me directly about my truck as well on Facebook. He might be a very good option. Drive SRT on Facebook has been posting pics and articles like crazy as of late. They've posted a couple of obscure SRT-10s that I haven't seen on here, so we definitely need get him some better pics of our more well known trucks, such as Dom, etc.

My 10 is also a daily driver. I like the idea of local clubs. We need to advertise the Viper Truck Club of America local to make it larger national. I have bought and wear the golf & t-shirts from our supporting vendors, but don't see a vendor making the decal for the back window. We need people to ask "what is VTCOA?", but we can't if we don't put our name out there. We can't go to Mother Mopar and ask for their help unless we can bring something to the table & that would be volume members. There is a local Mopar dealer here in Phoenix that sponsors a local Mopar car club, lets them use his dealership for their meetings and gives them discounts on Mopar products because they are a large organized national Mopar club. Volume gets noticed. Just my 2cents.

Regional shows and meets are likely the best option for our trucks as many seem hesitant to drive long distances in these trucks. When I mentioned a while back about switching the yearly get together from PCB to somewhere more central, people bitched and moaned about it and complained about the distance blah blah. And with our trucks being, well, trucks, I imagine most people are unlikely to rent a U-haul or other truck and trailer to trailer to a long distance meet. So as Jeff is saying, some kind of State organizer and then get togethers within each state is probably key. Then maybe 1 or 2 big national meets per year tailored around something that draws attention.

I have a full size one on my computer somewhere, I will find it and send it to you tomorrow, time to get some shut eye

I have a decal guy aswell on my other forums. I will contact him to see if he can be the official vtcoa decal guy.

We are having a Euro GTG at The Nurburgring on June 1st/2nd this year

True, but I've also had Viper car people who where actually cool and had no issues. Last summer my son and I went to a large Mopar car show, there where 3 RAM 10's at the show. In my sons (hes 8) words "dad the guy with the black truck is a jerk". Ive been snubbed by Viper car guys and this guy made them look like saints.

Never made it to Summit for there show, seems we always have family stuuf going on that weekend.
I always go to Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk) in Sept. for the Mopar World Finals. Depending on School, I'm planning to go to Mopar Nats this year. And usually hit a couple dealerships that host big car shows with my son.

Most of the Viper Guys are great to hang out with, it's just those select few. With the VCA, it's a membership thing to be parked in the same area as the Vipers, but there is nothing that says we can't have our own mass gathering :D

I am sorry I didn't get in on this conversation earlier. I am in the process of getting a northeast GTG done. I only have 5 or 6 guys that are in for it. I would like to step up and make this happen, let me know what you need Jeff.
