Put my truck on the dyno today was kind of disappointed lol made 368hp, no torque readings though. Forced induction here we come!

I guess my question would be....

Has the guy that operated the dyno ever done a Viper truck before and did he do it right?

This is the first vehicle I have ever owned that has less HP than advertised. Usually they have more HP than advertised because of insurance reasons. I think this is one of the reasons so many of us mod the hell out of this things.

but thats how horse power is figured off the torque numbers

Horsepower is calculated from torque. So without a torque reading how did they come up with a 368hp number? Also several 06's have been found to be low on power from the factory

I think he dyno'd it incorrectly, I believe its supposed to be in 4th gear for a 1to1 ratio??? Most dyno 440ish/470ish stock?????? RC's.

I dynode 417hp and 422 tq on a 100 degree day with an automatic tranny. Stock.

I would have to see it to believe any completely stock RAM SRT10 could ever make 470 at the wheels regardless of what kind of dyno is being used. Even with the T56 you would need between 550-570 at the flywheel to make those numbers at the wheels.

I apologize, I meant to say 440ish HP and 470ish TQ...............

It was a 3rd gear pull then a 4th gear pull. On a dynojet. Has k&n intake and Gibson headers that's about it. Motor has 7000 miles on it.

stock w/ paper plates & 2500 miles... hot then cold 463hp/480trq

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I guess I just need to mod it to make some more power. Sad my 4cyl Honda makes more power than my truck :)
