Viper Truck "Club" of America - Looking for Regional Reps

Sure, why not? Already have common interest with other likeminded idiots, own one of the more unique, low production run vehicles on the road today. Ya, I in..

Ok, so now that we gonna do this, let me know what is expected of me & what I can expect. Just a lil heads up always helpful.

Just do your best at coordinating local events with other Owners. It will probably be slow going at first, but you never know. Maybe events with other SRT Owners or other owners with Vipers, what ever you think. Some have events that have all kinds of different brands. It's all about just having fun

I can definitely do that, will definitely be paying more attention to the area car shows, & other events. Gonna try another GTG for guys along the front range etc. Sounds like a fun time

Most viper owners look down at the ram srt10. (Allmost all the viper guys ive met at shows anyway)....

Making us known? Getting out there to gain recognition? I've been barking up that tree for years pal. Since back in 2005 I was on another forum we dubbed the NFFF forum. It was another SRT-10 forum that caused this one to spawn.. But I digress, since back in those days me and some other members were on other local forums putting together GTGs and getting out and about, showing our presence. We WEREN'T widely accepted to say the least and hated on by SVT lovers young and old. I don't remember a time I wasn't coxed for a street race by an SVT or some other muscle car. I wouldn't race so I became more and more ignored (I dunno about the other Houston ownders). The younger crowds were more interested in F-body cars, Lightnings and rides that were considered feasible for them to get their hands on. If I were in an everyday run of the mill Mustang, TA, Camaro, Vette, Lightning SVT, Chevy truck, blah-zay, blah-zay.. Well then I would have gotten a lot of attention. When immersed in a large anything goes GTG, anything with an SRT badge wasn't accepted as I thought they would be. This was 2005-2007. It wasn't until the LX SRT cars started gaining popularity that I saw SRT-8's and below surrounded by young'uns gawking at the sleek lines and powerplant under the hoods.

I dunno how this SRT-10 thing played out in other cities and states, but that's the way it went down in Houston. The original crew knows what I mean; we were usually in our own little huddle or click away from the rest. It would look to the untrained eye that we were stuck up and wanted to remain segregated. But no, others chose to stay away from us like "SO WHAT??".. As if we had bad B.O. or something. I figured people just weren't interested in things they couldn't easily get a hold of and chose to chase after the conventional rides for ideas and what-not. I lost interest and dropped out of other local forums as a result. I stopped blowing cash on #1900 right after she was fitted with NoS. I started saving dough and focused on my house instead. Until this very day I never pressed the button; never activated the "OMEGA 13" if you will. Just didn't have it in me anymore. Don’t get me wrong, my heart is with the 10s. I don't mind getting #1900 back out there to show around. I hope this opportunity to meet up with Houston's newer generation of owners will get me back in the groove again. Hopefully we can make folks around these parts recognize or remember what our rigs are. But with the countless GTGs I’ve seen happening around the nation and even abroad, how can people NOT know about SRT-10s? I recall a convoy of about 20 trucks running down a highway in Macon, Ga. with vtcoa being the focus. Every year there’s a stampede of 10’s rolling through Panama City, Fl. I can’t even count how many such GTGs took place on the west coast. We’ve had loads of them in Houston over the years. Even Europe had some with members from Amsterdam, Germany and surrounding countries in the name of vtcoa. Despite the oldest trucks pushing 10 years old already they still are rare enough to not be seen around for months on end in most places. I find Camaros, Lightnings, Vettes, Stangs and even Viper coupes under virtually every rock and stone I kick over. But I'm hard pressed to find another RAM 10 anywhere around my way.. And that in itself says something. Regardless of the recognition or not I'm still a proud owner and the venom I've been injected with from the moment I first sat in mine (First 10 I ever sat in) still courses through my veins.

I have to say I was (and am) injected with the Venom from the first time I saw my buddy's SRT 10 and have been in love with The Beast since day one. I haven't been active with other Venomites for these 4 years but I have more time now that the kids are older. I definitely want to connect with other Venomites and would help out the best I can.

Don't see many SRT 10s around but I get goaded into racing by every rice-"rocket" and muscle car as well. I typically take em on depending on how I feel about the area and the local authorities. There are lots of surprised faces at the next light.

my 2 cents for the day

I'm In.. I wouldn't even mind, starting a Club in Washington State. Or.. Call it the Washington, Oregon Idaho Division... Northwest Division Maybe.. I would be totally in on this..

Window decals are on their way!!

We are working on being here and having fun for going on 7 years now. Thinking about putting "Club" into the mix and seeing how that goes.

I was talking to SRTBrad and he mentioned that Ralph Gilles of SRT really didn't even know who we were and thats not good. I'm thinking that maybe we change that. I know that I put a test out there building the Europe, Texas and SoCal Regions, I went ahead and added the rest. Figured we would see how that goes. While people are letting everyone know what region there in... Start thinking of what we can do to be more like a "Club" and gain a little bit more formal recognition out in the SRT / Viper Powered community.

Tell me what you think

Great idea!! I know im new but i have a few ideas of things we used to do in our bike club..
Shirts
Decals on our trucks
state events (as metnioned before)
Clubs do a lot of charity work as well so volunteering for habitat for humanity, local shelters, kids homes, security details at local events etcc all help clubs gain notority and respect by giving back to the community.
and rank, president, vice etccc

thoughts??

I think it's hard to take in enough calories eating white meat instead of red meat. Another advantage to red meat is that it is usually fattier and fats aid in testosterone production.

Is this sons of anarchy?

The members here decided not to form a club

Who is or are our West Regional Rep(s)? And is the club still looking to have them?

This boat sailed two years ago.......

However, I've been working with another club to do events with. We are so spread out that getting more than a few trucks together is difficult. I figure we do what I did and hang out with the LX crowd or hang with the Viper crowd. If you are like me, up grading to a Viper sounds better.

So your question leads me to this question, if invited to a Viper GTG, would you go?

Yes sir I would. It would also be nice to be able to meet local members in statewide GTG's if possible. But I'm assuming that's a Rep's job to put together so I thought I'd ask who they are.

I don't think any is at this point

Germany did 2 nationwide GTG's......, just saying :D

The first one even made some people come from England, Netherland, Belgium and France to show up
