Hello all, I sold my cherry Viper GTS and as part of the deal got a 2004 SRT-10. My intention was to sell it and add to the pile of cash to get a ready to go 9 sec Hemi Dart. But, to my surprise I really like this truck. If I keep it, my goal will be a 10.3 second 1/4. It will need to stay spray free, no turbo and fit in NHRA GT/ Truck. My initial conversation with an engine builder I trust is encouraging. I am located in the Detroit area.

Best part of these trucks is you don't have to get down on the ground to get into the cab. The novelty of low vehicles wears off with age. lol

Yes! I have pulled the wiring loom up off the headers and used a very large cable tie/zip tie on to the brake pipes to keep it there. Lights out and no more faults. Guess I have found the problem. Will get it permanently sorted when the new Demon coils and live wire leads are fitted. Have a set of tunes from Torrie also on their way.

Another vote for headers causing headaches. Glad you sorted out your problem.

You would need a little over 1,000 horsepower for a 5100 pound race weight with 32+ square feet frontal.

    • 4300 pounds at 127 mph requires 825 flywheel (Trainman).

    • 5585 pounds at 116 requires 820 flywheel (or more as I'm using an auto)- (Me)

    • 1000+ HP would be a savage build and quite the ride.

How about a 426 "Hellephant" engine in a 1500 R/T with Devils eye 20" wheels and Brembo's.
