Ya, I agree i dont want to pull it apart either. I replaced the sensor so it had the new nub on the end. The service manual says that the measurement, if i read it correctly, is from the reluctor ring to the face of timing cover. It just lets u know that the reluctor ring is in the right...
Can anyone tell me what has to be modified on the Cloyes cam gear aside from the timing mark? I know the timing mark is way off but how about the reluctor wheel? Is it fine so long as the cam is degreed to the crank?:argh:
OK guys. Got the motor back from i replaced the senso. the builder. Looks great dropped it in. Won't idle and it misses. Hard to start sounds like timing. Low power on the street. Though I didn't try very hard due to circumstances. I did gas it a little to see if it would clear up in the mid...
They are halo rings I installed in the oe housing. Painted the inside black. They are flourecent tubes. Look great but broke like three installing the damn fragile rings. They were from a AAC style. They did away from them probably for that reason
Bought the complete engine gastket set then ended up using cometic because compression was slightly high. So still have these stockers brandy new..
