4.88 gear report

Brad, I think you mean "taller height slicks" for the track, shorter would be a disaster, unless you are just running 1/8th mile.

I could see how you read that but I meant if I keep the 4.56's. Don't know if a gear change is nec at this point. Old gears might be repairable.:dontknow: If I have to change then ill go with the 88's

Justin runs about the same ET's with 4.10's, as Jerry does with 4.56's. The trick is to run the correct hight drag radial to make your final drive ratio the same. 4.88's will require bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th as you cross the line or shifting to 5th gear. Either way, you will probably be slower at the track with 4.88's.
