Ok, I’ll bite,I’ve been tidying up my Ten this winter cleaning off the underside painting the chassis rails and getting removable parts powder coated.I’ve now turned my attention to the front suspension ,anyone git any tips on splitting the lower ball joint and removing along with the bushings? I like to powder coat the lower wishbone.
The real problem is gearing....4.71 1st gear coupled with a 4.56 rear makes 1st basically unusable. I've been trying to find if there are alternate gear sets for the 248RBI besides 4.10 & 4.56; old school D60's (like the ones 440 & hemi stick shift cars came with) were available with a 3.54 but I don't know if a gearset like that would be compatible. There was a link (a year or more ago) about a conversion. As the 8.3 is a torque monster, I don't know that it would NEED 8 speeds (even though 7 and 8 are overdrive). It sure would be nice to modernize the transmission though, even if it was strictly for dependability!!
Yea, the beat down for a humble question is never productive

RFE based. I wouldn't trust one of those to hold up long term. 8HP90 would take it far beyond what a stock 10 can do to it. Especially this new Demon version. How about a 6spd auto out of the 2016-2017 Ram 1500 Hemi's or the any of the versions which came in the Eco-Dipshit ?
